The WBC are clearly just trying to provoke people so that they can sue those who use violence against them. That is their business plan.

Someone did slash the tires on their van once while they protested a funeral at a town in this state. Wal Mart wouldn't fix them, either.

Merchant's right to denial of service, oh my Goddess what a useful clause. My manager at the Wendy's here in town invoked that once when an irate customer called me the r-word. That said, I doubt there is a single shop in Laramie that would serve members of WBC should they come highrolling into town, not after what happened about 10-15 years back when they protested not only the funeral of that gay kid who got murdered, but also protested IN SUPPORT of his killers during the trial. I know for a fact that the University of Wyoming has a campus trespass order for Fred Phelps still on record.

Getting a few unconfirmed reports, mostly from the J. Mathers, the creator of Foamy, that the funerals are crawling with members of Anonymous and bikers. The WBC is nowhere to be found.

Bikers have kept them away here, too. They don't come down much anymore. Once they held a protest a few blocks away and met with a lot of opposition.
As a matter of fact, they protested locally on more than one occasion, both times just down the street practically. One was a high school, the other a church of all places. Yeah they actually protested a local church why I have no earthly idea. Missed that part.

"Thank God For Dead Webpages" The moment they are permabanned from the Internet, I will hold a sign in front of their little compound, mocking their "Thank God For Dead Soldiers" sign. Seeing as how they always have colorful backgrounds for their signs, I'm thinking of a rainbow to further incite their burning ire...

Dear CyborgUprising,
While I do see your point, and do feel that wherever 'Hate Rhetoric' is accessible, someone could be influenced by it, I personally feel that these groups should have free access to present their views and beliefs and agendas.if they lurk in secret, we do not know what they are up to.

Out of simple curiosity, I looked them up on Google Maps. Their church is essentially a small fortress in a residential neighborhood. I feel for the people that have to live across the street from them.

They are guilty of fraud. Their website did not exist in 1955...

Since we can use any of their material free of charge for any reason, let's use it to bring them down.

They live in Lawrence, Kansas, right?

I looked on their website which featured a rant against the state in which I live. Many of their protests have been confined to Kansas these days. Guess every place else is too fed up?

They almost never come down here, despite us having an openly gay mayor.

There's this liquor store near my house that has a little sign they put different sayings on to advertise and right the sign says

Drink a little
drink a lot
Jesus loves you
no matter what

Someone needs to tell WBC Jesus loves people no matter what. That's the whole idea.

I think they are afraid of what you Texans might do to them.

It is my hope that if and when the WBC come to Sandy Hook they are greeted with baseball bats. That will teach them some better manners.
