Sounds like a miss-characterization of his stand on the subject. In the case of the subset of autism known as aspergers his own site says at the bottom of the page "Asperger's is not a disease".

I think it was Desmond Morris who said something to the effect of;

'why is it that our society forbids the showing of an erect penis which shoots life, but freely permits images of guns which shoot death?'

I'm sorry. I thought Alex wanted autism cured as opposed to Amy not wanting it. That's why Amy left without telling anyone in the first place.

I think it's the way those two sites are laid out that's the difference. I think that they discuss some of the same issues, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know?

Alex must be being quiet with me about certain issues because it must be that he only wants to talk about the issues that he feels are important.

I don't see anything wrong with I'm leaving threads. Obviously the person is upset and want to say why. It's like a suicide thread in The Haven, except instead of "I'm sick of the world, I'm leaving it" you get "I'm getting annoyed/hassled/upset at WP, I'm leaving". To tell you the truth I think the topic creator has left, as he hasn't replied to his own thread.

Amy is someone who is not banned, but has her own forum online. Alex does not like her because she and Alex have different opinions about whether or not they want autism cured. So, she left here without telling anyone, and Alex is probably happy.

When Amy left here, she left Alex to figure the fact that Amy doesn't like him out for himself. He has probably already done this.

Well, as long as they don't flame each other about it, and tolerate each other, then the situation is okay to me.

They're not, but I just wanted to say that I think this is one of the things Alex is being particularly quiet about.

Nah, I don't think so. I joined on the 21nd of September, the only thing I heard of either of those two was the William Freund one, but I won't go into that.
