This isn't even a thing that happens. Transitioning is difficult and courageous; twice as courageous as the average teenage white boy could ever dream of being.

Check your assumptive privilege.

I'm now transgender, and that applies retroactively.

Thanks for thinking I'm courageous, though.

I must admit, that's an odd claim in light of your earlier statement,

"...teenage Dill suddenly becomes transgender to glance sideways at boobies in the showers for a "justified" reason."

I sincerely doubt your claim. It is a clumsy attempt at performing the anti-trans tactic of claiming people simply choose to be trans one day for nefarious reasons. It's also highly offensive and harmful to trans people.

You see, your claim is simply not how it works anywhere except right-wing fantasies. Trans kids don't "suddenly become transgender" in order to be pervs. They *are* transgender because they identify as the sex/gender opposite that assigned at birth. But then, I have a feeling you already know that.

Well, you see:

At first, I figured hey, I was curious about boobies. Then I realized that I felt far more comfortable around the same, and it felt far more natural behaving similar to a female, albeit of a rather tomboyish example.

Now, that might not meet the diagnosis, but it's something that can't be dismissed.

But then, I'm pretty sure I don't have to justify it.

Start taking female hormones and androgen blockers, and you can grow a pair of your own. Would you like that?

It can very much be dismissed.

What you are saying is no different from someone saying,

"I'm neurotypical but I'm also really lazy. So, in school to avoid having to do as much I pretended to be autistic when it benefited me. You can't dismiss that I identify as autistic".

Like I said before it's highly offensive and it is harmful. Please stop.
