I'm not sure. I guess if you're young and economically viable you have a better chance.

But not too young!

We must blame them and cause a fuss

I rest my case! :)

Here one of the two chief Trump supporters on WP just expressed dislike of conservative Republicans.

Yet his chief WP ally in promoting Trump IS a certain EXTREMELY conservative Republican!

Illustrates my point that like and dislike of Trump doesnt break down along traditional partisan lines.

At one point, Trump mentioned building a wall on the Canadian border, now I see why. Lol

Even though I live by the border, I haven't been to the States in over 20 years. It's too much bother now that you have to have a passport. And everything is so security oriented, it scares me.

Yeah..the good ole days we could cross each others borders like nothing.

You can thank Ben Laden for ending that era.

Bin Laden was a puppet... whose I'm not sure, but probably Mossad, MI6 or CIA. Well, we KNOW he worked closely with the CIA for a long time... This crap is much bigger than Bin Laden or "Islamist terrorists".

Boy, those are two VERY different countries! (Although Brazil does have the (second?) biggest population of Japanese people outside of Japan...

Japan??????????????

Japan is great...for Japanese.

It sucks for outside immigrants (if they even let you in in the first place). Or that's my understanding of it. I doubt that Japan would "consider" you, or any of us.And though the people there like foreign visitors they hate foreigners as permanent neighbors.

Brazil and Japan are an odd combination as favorites.

I think of them as two extremely different places.

My thoughts exactly. All of them.

Please elaborate on this? I suspect you're right... do ANY countries welcome autistic Americans? I would really like some options to consider - any thoughts? My beloved country just keeps getting worse and worse... except for the top 1% of course - better and better for them...

ASD diagnoses, including Aspergers, have been cited in the past as sufficient ground for medical exclusion from Canada.

It seems to be a sort of eugenics in the guise of fiscal responsibility--or perhaps that's unfair. Maybe they just know they don't put enough resources into care for people with ASDs and certainly can't afford to willfully burden themselves with more useless parasites in human form. :( [<- bitter sarcasm]

But just be a "skilled worker" with a wage earning history, and you could be potentially be fine.

from what I've read, if you have some combination of the following, you will be denied residence in Canada-

*net worth <half a mil
*any major medical condition or psychiatric condition
*lack of blood relatives in-country
*lack of college degree in a field that Canada needs
*criminal record

during the last winter Olympics up there they turned away thousands of americans. all the commonwealth nations have similar restrictions on American immigrants. most americans would not qualify for emigration under those rules.

Sigh...
Leaving the country over Trump.
I remember the same scenario over Bush but I don't think many of them actually left.

A total lie from a total liar, warmonger and war criminal. Social democracy, or democratic "socialism" is about making capitalism work for ALL hardworking citizens, not just a super-lucky, super-rich aristocracy. The Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, etc. are the most prosperous, happy, healthy middle class societies on earth, and their economies are stronger and more stable than those of the Anglo countries too. No crazy housing bubbles or "financial crises" in those countries, because they don't allow criminal banksters to rape and pillage their people.

if there were no such thing as right-wingers, i'd probably be a communist party member instead of a democratic party member. Trudeau woulda got my vote were I lucky enough to have been born Canadian.
