Trump blasts 'Never Trump' Republicans as 'human scum'

Quote:

President Trump on Wednesday excoriated so-called Never Trump Republicans as "human scum" as he seeks to solidify Republican support of him amid an ongoing impeachment inquiry.

He singled out his administration's special envoy to Ukraine, William Taylor, who a day earlier sat for closed door testimony with those lawmakers the impeachment inquiry and delivered damaging testimony about the White House's efforts to pressure Ukraine for political purposes.

"The Never Trumper Republicans, though on respirators with not many left, are in certain ways worse and more dangerous for our Country than the Do Nothing Democrats," Trump tweeted. "Watch out for them, they are human scum!"

Never Trumper Republican John Bellinger, represents Never Trumper Diplomat Bill Taylor (who I don’t know), in testimony before Congress!" Trump tweeted about 45 minutes later, bemoaning the lack of transparency in the impeachment proceedings thus far.

"It would be really great if the people within the Trump Administration, all well-meaning and good (I hope!), could stop hiring Never Trumpers, who are worse than the Do Nothing Democrats," Trump added. "Nothing good will ever come from them!"

It is so comforting to have a man like that in control of the nukes(sarcasm)

As I have said somewhere before: vote for Pierre Delecto and Stormy Daniels in 2020. They are guaranteed to have their hands on something else besides the launch button on the nuclear football.

How is that innuendo?

Innuendo, insinuation, suspicion, accusation, "where there's smoke there's fire" et al. Been going on for years now. zzzzzz.

You haven't noticed Trump leaving his businesses in a "blind trust," which is just his kids running things for him rather than divesting himself of it all? Or how his daughter (a White House adviser) was given patents and business deals in China right after he became President? Or how Trump has foreign dignitaries staying at his resorts? That's only the tip of the iceberg, and all provable. Or perhaps you've been struck with willful blindness.

Forgive my apathy but I have been hearing these kinds of allegations for years now.

That's because those accusations are true.

True to you.

I forgot: you're team plays by alternative facts.

Ah yes, lies make you feel better so lies must be facts now. It's a political party, not a reality TV celebrity's cult. As a rule, I don't believe anything anyone says about politics in the United States anymore. You as Republicans are not entitled to determine for everyone else what's "OK" & what isn't.

That really scares me. Because it's like nobody really knows what's going on with our country's government now. :(

It is just a point of view. When we were young, we though people at the age we are now, to be dinosaurs, who knew nothing about life. :D

For those of us in the latter states of life, can you imagine what life would be like if our current president was the only president in your adult experience? What reference would you have for what is "normal."

Yep. Certain individuals on WP who are under a certain age have absolutely no concept of how bizarre the Trump presidency is.

I am sure that there were teenage citizens of Rome, back in the day, who would see the mad emperor Caligula do things like make his horse a voting member of the Roman Senate ….and not even bat an eyelash., because they wouldn't know any better:lol:

Speaking of comparing America to Rome.

The Romans drank water from lead pipes that poisoned them over time.

Americans eat foods full of preservatives which are slowly killing us.

And once I start remembering...the threat of nuclear bombs...we were the first children to grow up with that threat. Which scare was it, naturalplastic, where they were saying there was radiation in the snow and we shouldn't catch snowflakes on our tongues? Remember the nuclear threat drills at school, where we filed into the corridors and sat on the floor and put our heads down. Really? And the Cuban Missile Crisis, when we literally were scared to death of the Russians and were minutes from a nuclear strike. The space race with the Russians. And when Kennedy was killed, my fifth grade teacher spent an entire day talking about how vulnerable we were. It was terrifying.

And our parents had been through WWII. My grandfather through WWI. They spoke to us in personal experience of war and the threats to our way of life in America.

Children growing up in the past 50 years of relative peace have no idea. They can brush all this stuff off and not believe it because they have benefited from the peace that was created and negotiated by previous generations who understood the risks their children brush off now.

Geez, I really sound like an old lady now. :(

This is why I hope Weld gets the nomination.

Even if he doesn't - and I'm personally not going to hold my breath - the very presence of him and the other Republican candidates would very likely spell the doom for Trump's Presidency, as no recent sitting President has won reelection after being challenged from within his own party.

Overall he has been very reluctant to use force. That said he is still very impulsive and I worry about a person with that personality trait near the codes.

I agree. Whatever Ezra is, he is a pretty clear Trump supporter. That means he's going to share a lot in common with, and share common cause with, other Trump supporters. We can still note tendencies in Trump supporters that we see in Ezra.

I think this is very common for young white men, to see themselves as completely independent and as someone who must be considered completely independently of any social or cultural factors.

His stubbornness in this regard can make conversation with him frustrating.

Boom! 8O

Your second sentence captures the self-centredness of the average Trump voter very articulately
