Me too, if that's what's going to happen. I've been waiting for six years for it. I don't quite understand why I seem to be the only one who's dejected over six years of investigations and hearings getting nowhere.
You are not the only one.
Then why am I getting so much flack for expressing it?
Because you seem to be playing "Devil's Advocate" in Trump's favor.

Oh okay, thanks for letting me know that, since I was completely unaware of it.

From my perspective as someone who has religiously watched the latest of six years of hearings, you don't seem to be able to name one thing Trump is going to be indicted for. I mean you're the "expert" and you don't seem to know squat outside of anecdotes.
No-one is in a position yet to name or bring criminal charges, and that includes the Jan 6 Commission. The mountain of evidence is still growing.

Usually when someone is in the process of being convicted of a crime, there's a particular indictment charge being sought. But apparently in this case there isn't one. Which seems rather unusual.

Correct!

There isn’t one. There are several.

Watch the hearings for a full explanation & list of potential charges.

I think there's one important factor that needs to addressed about this is the incredible corruption of the DOJ and the mechanisms in place in general. Justice is not equally applied. Some people get a pass, others don't.

For instance, James Clapper lied before Congress about The NSA , claiming they weren't collecting massive on Americans. He paid no price for his perjury.

Just food for thought.

Then why haven't you been able to name one?

I'm glad Fnord was able to isolate the issue. I was under the wrong impression in this thread as to what Matrix Glitch supports and is trying to argue for.

The problem with convicting Trump IMHO is that he's very good at playing what I call the "what the definition of "is", is, game." He says things without actually saying them. Which inevitably creates reasonable doubt.

Trump certainly was explicit in his desire to secure phantom votes for himself during his phone call to the Georgian election official. It’s on tape, easily accessible via YouTube.

I'm a moderate/independent like VegetableMan. But many misunderstand him too and jump to wrong conclusions, so at least I don't feel singled out.

If there's something concrete to nail him with, those games aren't going to work. They only work because of the anecdotal evidence that's been presented thus far.

But he's not in the process of being convicted of a crime - that's outside the Jan 6 Commission's remit. The Commission is discovering as much as it can about the events leading up to the attempted insurrection, the event itself, and the events since.
Separately, the Justice Department is examining Donald Trump's actions in connection with efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
