I find that hard to believe.
I don't think the CCP is that stupid.

All I know is what I read in the papers.

Coronavirus: Netherlands recalls defective masks imported from China

THE HAGUE (AFP) - Dutch officials have recalled tens of thousands of masks imported from China and distributed to hospitals battling the coronavirus outbreak because they do not meet quality standards, the health ministry said on Saturday (March 28).

They received a delivery of masks from a Chinese manufacturer on March 21, the ministry said in a statement to AFP.

They received a first indication they did not meet their standards when they were inspected.

Part of the shipment had already been distributed to health professionals, the statement said. "The rest of the shipment was immediately put on hold and has not been distributed.

"A second test also revealed that the masks did not meet the quality norms. Now it has been decided not to use any of this shipment," said the statement.

I think it safe to say, the CCP wants to make political capital out of their gesture.
This goodwill gesture may be an epic fail.
I wonder if any heads will roll in the CCP machinery.

Ok, now 600,000 faulty masks from China and faulty test kits from China to Spain. This is starting to seem like a pattern. A biological attack on the free world?

I see it more an epic failure of a Chinese propaganda campaign.
I am convinced the CCP didn't want to "lose face" here.
Remember, their military, economic and diplomatic build-up has a lot to do with National Pride.
They still hold a grudge against those who exploited them in history.
The same thing happened in Nazi Germany.

Trump reverses earlier call for quarantine on New York residents

Quote:
Hours after President Trump said he was considering an "enforceable" quarantine of all residents who leave the New York metro area, including possibly parts of New Jersey and Connecticut, Mr. Trump tweeted that a "quarantine will not be necessary." Mr. Trump tweeted that he has asked the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state governors to create a "travel advisory."

Earlier Saturday, Mr. Trump said that he is considering declaring an "enforceable" quarantine affecting some residents of the New York metropolitan area, possibly including New Jersey and Connecticut.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said a few hours later on CNN that he had not spoken to Mr. Trump about a quarantine, but said it would be a "preposterous idea."

"I don't believe that any federal administration could be serious about physical lockdowns of states or parts of states across this country," Cuomo said. "I don't believe it's legal. I think it would be economic chaos. I don't think the American people would stand for it and I think it makes absolutely no sense and I don't believe any professional would support it."

If your theory holds true, then this very well could be the beginning of the end of communist China. Their name is rapidly becoming "mud" and it's becoming "muddier" by the minute with the botched masks, botched test kits. Who at this point would want to buy any Chinese product if they had a choice? There are apparently thousands of citizens of Wuhan, including the police who are protesting/rioting.

This is a textbook example of how the media tells bald-faced lies. Trump never "call[ed] for quarantine on New York residents" and so he hasn't "reverse[d]" any earlier call. It's a double lie from the media – no call and no reversal.

Trump's words are even quoted in the story, proving the headline is a lie: "I am giving consideration to a QUARANTINE of developing 'hot spots', New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. A decision will be made, one way or another, shortly."

A quarantine was considered, a decision was soon made, and the quarantine option was rejected. Trump did exactly what he said he would do, and exactly the opposite of what the media said he did.

The lying scum media is more putrid than any virus.

Funny how Cuomo protests the idea as it would be economic chaos, after having said saving lives is more important than the economy. Cuomo saying lockdowns are necessary vs Cuomo saying lockdowns makes absolutely no sense.

Dutch officials have recalled tens of thousands of masks imported from China and distributed to hospitals battling the coronavirus outbreak because they do not meet quality standards, the health ministry said on Saturday (March 28). The mask involved were FFP2. The problem with the masks was that they did not close over the face properly, or had defective filters, the station added.

FFP2 masks have a minimum of 94% filtration percentage and maximum 8% leakage to the inside. They are mainly used in construction, agriculture, and by healthcare professionals against influenza viruses. They are currently used for protection against the coronavirus.

In Europe, for caregivers, it is necessary to wear a respirator of at least class FFP2 or FFP3 for maximum filtration of particles and aerosols when caring for a patient who is infected or suspected of being so.

In the United States, the N95 respirator filters 95% of airborne particles, and can even filter out bacteria and viruses, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. So for caregivers, it is necessary to wear a respirator of class N, R or P.

China is the world’s largest mask manufacturer which makes about half global production. By Feb. 29, China was producing 116 million masks a day. As the cases of the coronavirus ramped up in China, the Chinese government moved to the front of the line for mask. In February, at the peak of China’s outbreak, the entire output of Shenzhen-based Allmed Medical Products’s N95 masks was bought by the government.

Its factories in Hubei province, the epicenter of the virus, can produce up to 250,000 N95-standard masks a day, which is “much higher” than the pre-outbreak capacity.

Industrial mask-makers also face a bottleneck of a key component: Melt-blown polypropylene, the non-woven polymer fabric that forms the filter in most masks, which is made by smaller companies with limited capacity.
