But he's not in the process of being convicted of a crime - that's outside the Jan 6 Commission's remit. The Commission is discovering as much as it can about the events leading up to the attempted insurrection, the event itself, and the events since.
Separately, the Justice Department is examining Donald Trump's actions in connection with efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

So is this basically the same set up as the Mueller investigation?

I have read about it. I was asking you for your opinion. Apparently the way it works here is I ask someone's opinion and they tell me to go read something. Now while I have read about it, is it that I have to read every last detail of it to get a simple answer to a simple question?

If your question is "What are the charges?" or something related, that can't be answered because there are no charges. Yet.
It remains to be seen if any charges will be made but, going by what's been unearthed so far, it seems likely to most observers.

And no, it's not "the same set up as the Mueller investigation".

Trump could very well be facing both federal and state charges—both related to and unrelated to 1/6.

Trump would probably prefer Club Fed over any state prison.

Probably the most immediate possibility is election fraud felony charges in Georgia.

The first Teflon Don finally got stuck. The second Teflon Don could face the same fate.

Wasn't the original idea to change him with treason for inciting an insurrection against the United States? And now it's going to bounce over to Georgia over a phone call. It seems like the goal posts get moved around quite a lot.

Obama ramp up the criminal wars in the ME from two to five. He also ramped up the drone assassinations, which kill 90% innocent civilians. He deported more illegals in his first term than Trump. He built those cages for children and gassed immigrants at the border.
