According to *chinese* offical figures.
Do *you* believe *anything/k* that china says?

Regardless of how much we can or can't trust China, do you think they've got more than 100 000 cases? Italy does. China is claiming ~81k.

How can we know?
china is full of crap, in disclosure, and has been forever and a day.
There are rumours that there have been 50,000 *deaths* in china.
If true, imagine how many have been exposed. 8O

The only source less reputable than the Chinese government are rumours about what being covered up.

I don't doubt that China is likely both outright lying as well as fudging numbers, but there's only so much that can be hidden (which is why 'fudging' would be in play too, like how Russia is recording most of these as pneumonia).

To complicate things further, most countries only have a partial picture of what's going on, so even the most trust-worthy government's stats will be imperfect.

It’s considered about 3 on the “contagious scale.” One person would infect 3 other persons on this scale when no precautions are taken.

Measles is about a 10 on the same scale.

What boggles me is how the US has over 100,000 cases and Canada has only 7600 cases. You'd think that the Canadian Corona count would be higher than it is.

The chinese coverup of the coronavirus, (does anyone in the free world think they didn't do it?),
Has been a big mistake.

Some, presumably people in a better position to speculate, estimate that had the ccp been honest about the disease, 95% of the deaths could have been avoided.

Another aspect of concern is the potential economic "vulture-ism", by the ccp.
The concern is that the ccp, with its huge monetary reserves, will go on a scavaging spree and buy out distressed companies as a result of the economic damage they have created.

Here in Australia, there are new laws being implemented to prevent this from happening.
*All* takeovers(?), regardless of the financial amount, will now be scrutinised, and the process will be extended to a 6 month period.

It is suggested the official reason for this change is the occurrence of two large chinese property companies in Australia buying up and shipping to china strategic medical supplies such as masks and sanitisers.

Some, in the media, are pointing to this as a sign of the absolute control the ccp has over all chinese businesses.

Time to wake up, Australia,
And the world.

Check the number of people in Canada and the number of people in America.
That might have something to do with it.

It is a lot of fun to play with super magnets, rare earth magnets. They are extremely powerful. The following story comes from down under. DON'T TOUCH YOUR MOUTH, EYES OR NOSE invention!

An astrophysicist in Australia went to the hospital last week after getting magnets stuck up his nose while attempting to invent a device to stop people from touching their faces amid the global coronavirus pandemic, according to a report.

Dr. Daniel Reardon is a 27-year-old astrophysicist and research fellow at a Melbourne University who studies pulsars and gravitational waves. He and his partner were working to create a necklace that sounds an alarm when someone tries to touch their face. They began by wearing magnets on their wrists, but then Reardon tried putting magnets in his nose, The Guardian reported.

“It’s the same logic as clipping pegs to your ears – I clipped them to my earlobes and then clipped them to my nostril and things went downhill pretty quickly when I clipped the magnets to my other nostril.”

A magnet on each side of his septum attracted together, leaving both stuck inside his nose. Reardon said he Googled a solution, and after reading an article about an 11-year-old who also got magnets stuck in his nose, he tried using other magnets to pull them out. Those magnets also got stuck once he lost his grip.

“As I was pulling downwards to try and remove the magnets, they clipped on to each other and I lost my grip,” he said. “And those two magnets ended up in my left nostril while the other one was in my right. At this point, I ran out of magnets.”

Once out of magnets, Reardon tried using metal pliers to pull them out – but those too became magnetized. His research partner finally brought him to the hospital, where medical staff applied an anesthetic spray and manually removed the magnets from his nose.

“My partner took me to the hospital that she works in because she wanted all her colleagues to laugh at me,” he said. “The doctors thought it was quite funny, making comments like ‘This is an injury due to self-isolation and boredom.’”

Bottom line: We know that the ccp is actively deceitful.

The ccp has also engaged in trying to implicate other countries, such as America and Italy, for being responsible for the coronavirus crisis.
The ccp has even suggested that American soldiers, who were in china, started the epidemic.

The second bottom line: Why would anyone in the free world ignore the history of deceit that has been going on for literally decades, before the coronavirus event?
Any serious investors in the share market has known not to believe and figures coming out of china.

It isn't a matter of statistics-gaining methodology being in variance.
It is a case of premeditated deception.
Goebels would be proud.

Yes, I know.
It is just my opinion.
But what a solid rhodium opinion it is.

Canada is still lower even if you give the US the benefit of a per capita average.

I heard a report that cold weather was keeping people inside, helping with self-isolation.
I don't know if this was about Canada, though.

I believe Canada is colder than America, generally speaking.
Is this correct?

Could it be that the cities in Canada are a lot smaller than NYC, as an example?
NYC has about 40% of the coronavirus problem, last time I heard.

I went to town today. The items in store shelves are starting to fill up again. I bought a megapack of paper towels and some bags of flour. They have been out for a couple weeks now. The meat aisles were beginning to fill up again. It seems like vitamins aisle were starting to become depleted.

Many store clerks apparently have been calling in sick. So when you pay for items, one has to wait a little longer.

I stopped by Jo Ann Fabrics to buy material to make more face mask. There were quite a few women searching for components to make face mask. No one has supplies of elastic cord. This is really hanging up volunteers from fabricating face mask. I ordered some for my wife but it is being shipped in from China. It is a real bottleneck. Many face mask designs use a thin strip of metal to conform the mask to the nose. I exchanged thoughts on workarounds. I bought a roll of aluminum tape which is normally used for metal ductwork joints. I thought that might be a workaround.

Anyways my wife and I wore our Silver Cloth Face Masks. They seemed to work well.

The bought facemask I, errr, bought many years ago uses strings instead of elastic cords.

Instead of the aluminum tape, would have been cheaper to buy some sandpaper and a few small rolls of aluminum foil. Am not sure how well the tape or foil, but sanding the blade to a dull edge that is normally used to cut the foil would probably be a better nose piece.
