The fact that he choose to show-up at a children's event with a gun is bad enough, but, considering he was previously banned from the library for filming children without their parent's consent doesn't instill much confidence in me that his intentions were benign.

People carry guns everywhere it’s not unusual, so I don’t see that as a sign of bad intentions alone.
I carry my gun everywhere so if I go to a child’s event then I’d be carrying it, I go to the movies, fairs, restaurants, mall, etc with it.

2nd part is concerning but you left that out of the first post.

I’m a trump support and I wouldn’t go to violence nor would most I’ve met unless attacked.
They tend to just film the liberals freaking out.

I just avoid areas known to have liberals protesting like Eugene. Which is why i dont know if I’ll go to the Portland trip.

I’m well aware of other’s hatred here against trump supporters, only plus side is it shows who is or was truely a friend.

I don’t partake in unnecessary violence,but will defend myself or others from violence if needed.
It’s something that’s made me unliked by most people as men are generally expected to be violent and enjoy violence

You have a good mind. Think about what you are saying.

If you don't hang out with both liberals and conservatives, you will have a very isolated view of things.

I had a very isolated view of things, too-----until I went out in the world and started actually meeting folks.

I don't actively "avoid conservatives." Why would I? That's just ridiculous.

How often do people riot in Eugene? Probably not all that often at all.

Riots happen to be very rare in NYC. There's protests all the time; they rarely get violent.

I work near the Brooklyn Bridge--a frequent site for protests.

There were many more protests and marches in the 1960s, though.
