Joseph Recarey, a former Palm Beach detective who had a knack for making others smile, who tackled the island’s largest and most important investigations, and who cared deeply for his family and friends, died Friday, May 25, 2018, after a brief illness. He was 50....

Recarey was one of the most decorated police officers in the history of the department with more than 150 commendations, 11 officer-of-the-month awards and a 2013 Palm Beach Police Foundation Officer of the Year award, Reiter said. He worked in several units, including the Organized Crime Vice and Narcotics Unit and the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Public Integrity Unit. He was a lead detective in many major investigations, including the high-profile solicitation-of-minors case against billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

The Epstein story sure vanished from the media, didn't it. No point following up on his big-time Democrat-donor pals and his Ivy League and Silicon Valley friends and all the Clinton flights on the "Lolita Express" since Epstein is conveniently gone. Nope, nothing to see there at all.

By the way, did you hear Trump had three scoops of ice cream at dinner yesterday? OMG!!

It will be interesting so see what further prosecutions come out of this.

Epstein Suicide Inquiry Subpoenas Roughly 15 Jail Employees, Others Reassigned, Placed on Leave

Jeffrey Epstein was accused of being a serial sexual predator who ran a rape ring that included some of the world’s richest and most powerful men and victimized underaged girls.

Everything about Epstein’s supposed suicide stinks to high heaven. From the time he was mysteriously and inexplicably left alone, to the autopsy report.

According to the New York Times, “roughly 15 employees at the Metropolitan Correctional Center where Jeffrey Epstein killed himself in his jail cell have been subpoenaed as the criminal investigation into the events around his suicide intensifies.”

I wonder how many of those subpoenaed will end up committing suicide, having a fatal accident or just plain disappear.

Not sure what this really means, but it's interesting. Sounds like the guards were being railroaded and are refusing to go along.


AP sources: Jail guards at time of Epstein death reject deal

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal prosecutors offered a plea deal to two correctional officers responsible for guarding Jeffrey Epstein on the night of his death, but the officers have declined the offer, people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press.

The existence of the plea offer signals the Justice Department is considering criminal charges in connection with the wealthy financier’s death at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York in August. The city’s medical examiner ruled Epstein’s death a suicide.

The guards on Epstein’s unit are suspected of failing to check on him every half hour, as required, and of fabricating log entries to show they had. As part of the proposed plea deal, prosecutors wanted the guards to admit they falsified the prison records, according to the people familiar with the matter.
