1. People have been killed in riots do their lives not matter?
2. They protecting their lives from riots
3. People need money to live, they need businesses to make money, no business no living
4. PeoplE in the community need their medicine and food which is now either stolen or burnt down. And the pharmacy and or grocery store won’t come back.
5. Homes were burnt down. So people are homless probably same people who now don’t have jobs and can’t get food and medicine.

How’d you feel if someone burnt down your home? How’d you feel if their burnt down your work? How’d you feel if they sourounded you and kicked and beat you u til you go unconscious and keep beating you after leaving you for dead? How’d you feel being trapped in a burning building?
How’d you feel if any of the above happen to a love one?
Should we riot over the rioters killing people?
Should the cops riot over the officer killed? Over the officers out in the hospital? Maybe go down and burn more poor low income people’s homes and businesses?

It’s not just f*****g property

Yeah, it's not about property. It's about treating people with respect and treating them humanely. It's about equality and human rights. It's about systemic racism and oppression, and the fact we need reform. It's about a system that works for the wealthy while it grinds those with a lower socioeconomic status into a fine dust.

And burning th cities Down is how you get equality.
They should pull all the police out and let the cities burn to the grounds then everyone can live equally in the Robo Robo call and ruins of the city. Is that what you want?
If riots come for your home will you be fine or will you call the police to come save you?

Treat others as you want to be treated. Guess the protesters want to be treated like s**t and have their homes burnt down.

3 of the 4 stories I posted involve police attacking white journalists...my guess is they don't like being filmed

As I previously expressed - riots and demolition are making things worse.
Massive spraying protesters - not just picking the agressive ones - is making things worse.

Both sides need to step back but they are unlikely to do it in such a heat of a battle.

Boundaries. To that extent you're expressing understandable emotions but this crosses the line. To that extent you're doing a necessary thing but this is going overboard. This is how you dismantle ladders of wrongs.

Journalist Ed Ou told The New York Times a projectile fired by the police while he was covering a protest in Minneapolis had wounded his scalp.

Shocking that there are consequences to inaction all the while having an incompetent "leader" (Con man) fanning the flames of violence to change the narrative so he can be a big strong godly man on fox news.

New autopsy out, cause of death suffocation due to asphyxia, ruled a homicide. You can find the article on the new autopsy on masslive.com

I had said earlier in the thread that the county medical examiner is often over worked and makes mistakes.

George Floyd death: Trump threatens to send in army to end unrest

Quote:
He said if cities and states failed to control the protests and "defend their residents" he would deploy the army and "quickly solve the problem for them".
Great. I guess all you need right now is military deployed to fight civilians. Obviously, it will help calm things down, won't it?
What is this man thinking if he's thinking at all?

They would not have been fired five years ago.

Things are getting much more progressive.

I feel like attitudes are actually changing for the better amongst the people in charge.

Even amongst cops themselves.

So, back on topic; the independent autopsy report into the killing of George Floyd returned results that are at odds with the county examiner's report, but much more consistent with what the video shows. The independent report describes the cause of death as asphyxia due to neck and back compression in contrast with the county's autopsy which returned no findings to support traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.

This has been splashed all over the Australian news this morning.

While Trump is hiding in the whitehouse with his lights switched off drawing plans to attack Antifa he seems to have ignored

1) George Floyd is now officially been murdered by the police
2) Chauvin's 3rd degree should now be upgraded to first degree as there is evidence Chauvin knew Floyd and worked together and this may have been payback
3) the three Asian cops who stood around should be charged as accomplices (one of these idiots tried to tazer a member of the public)
4) The police medical coroner should be charged with fraud and being an accomplice to murder
5) the entire Minneapolis police force should be investigated by the FBI
6) the entire US police force should be bought into line with the rest of the civilised world with regard to human rights
7) police forces in other countries should also be purged of psychopaths (we have aboriginal deaths in custody here in Australia where nobody in the force is charged)

I agree with all 7 of your points.

Right now, the protests/riots are pure emotion without logic. There haven't been any concrete or unified demands and there hasn't been dialogue on how to fix the problems. Nothing will change until there can be rational discussions and rational change that ends up being positive for everyone. You are laying out actual points worth implementing and acting on. That's how positive change can happen.

Your points would hopefully bring a positive outcome in the end.

There also must be rule of law in civilized society. That rule of law should be fair and just and applied to all equally. That's hasn't happened yet in the history of the U.S. That absolutely does need to change.

Read the definitions of 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree murder in Minnesotan law. You'd never get anything above 3rd to stick. 3rd is the correct charge imo.
