Surveillance footage taken during first Epstein suicide attempt missing

Surveillance footage recorded inside a Lower Manhattan prison at the time of Jeffrey Epstein’s first apparent suicide attempt has mysteriously gone missing, officials admitted Wednesday.

The footage was recorded outside the millionaire pedophile’s cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on July 23, when Epstein apparently tried to hang himself at the lockup.

Epstein was sharing the cell with Nick Tartaglione, a hulking former cop in Westchester County accused of killing four people in a botched drug deal.

Tartaglione’s lawyer had requested that the footage be preserved — but prosecutors admitted in a court hearing Wednesday that the footage has gone missing, the lawyer, Bruce Barket, said.

“I don’t know the details of how it was lost or destroyed or why it wasn’t retained when it should have been,” Barket said.

I really haven't been following the legal details of the Epstein case very carefully, but this new long report from CBS includes several details I hadn't seen before:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/did-jeffre ... 020-01-05/

It says among other things that Epstein had been paying some of the other inmates in the jail for protection, and also that what was widely reported as a first suicide attempt was (according to Epstein) an attack, not a suicide attempt. Also I thought the initial story was that one of the cameras wasn't working, and then later they claimed they just misplaced the tape; here it says again that one of the key cameras wasn't working.

Sadly the majority of the public can't ever get passed their first impressions which really helps the propaganda machine...

Sadder still is the fact that the majority of the public would forget all about him were it not for the Media and threads like this one.

Epsteins "suicide" reeks of extreme witness intimidation/elimination.
If the allegations against Epstein are indeed true it would seem that several prominent politicians and other public figures may be guilty of serious wrongdoing.
Bearing that in mind:
IMHO, keeping the issue alive and encouraging further investigation is preferable to sweeping it under the rug and hoping it will all go away.

Epstein didn't kill himself.

"Reeks" proves nothing. Speculation proves nothing.

He's dead; that's all that matters. Whodunnit? WHO CARES?!

You sound like you're trying to hush people up. You don't work for Hillary Clinton by any chance do you? :skull:

Oh look! A squirrel!

I care- and the question of 'whodunnit?' is one that I would very much like an answer to.

You were mocking us all for questioning his 'suicide'. Your input is childish and worthless
