There's a peace sign from the woman

But the guy behind her, if he made his wrist horizontal, would be flashing a gun sign.

What I am seeing is maskless people posing for pictures in the middle of a plague.
They are not social justice warriors, they are partying and are expecting a BIG party out of the event they were heading for.
What percentage of those on the plane didn’t vote?
How many have NEVER voted?
This was not a dramatic political statement by the disenfranchised and downtrodden, this was exciting fun for them.
Lives have been ruined.
6 people are dead; 4 killed, 2 suicides.
But this plane full of superficial yuppies had a fun, exciting time.
Maybe this is why hungry, abused people in third world countries loathe us.
THIS is what they see on the media, so they think we are all like that.

Many of the maskless rioters were frontline workers against the virus, nurses, police and at least one doctor who was working at a hospital treating COVID patients.

I imagine they will all lose their jobs for putting the public at risk. Dr Simone Golden should also lose her medical licence.

Dear Cyberdad,
You are SO right!!
They KNEW what they were risking, for themselves and for the families they went home to!
I will not be surprised if you are right again, and that doctor does lose her license.
Is there a monetary estimate yet of what it has already cost the country, and any loose estimate of what the court costs will be for the trials?
Oh, regarding DrSimone Golden; they can’t find her.
Apparently she is hiding.

Dr Golden breached her hippocratic oath but she's hiding to avoid jailtime.

Shows great concern for her patients, who now must find doctors who are not simply drowning in too many patients already due the demands of this plague.
Actually, shows great concern for those overworked doctors themselves, her friends.

one can find sociopaths all over the place. but generally they are most common in areas with money and power and sex. doctors fill at least two of those bills.

Good point Blabs, just because somebody is a medical doctor doesn't make them immune to propaganda that feeds some deep psychopathy.

Nobody can forget the not so good doctor Mengele from Auschwitz

True, there are university professors and CEO's and people with private jets wrapped up in this nonsense - they're not all low IQ people.

Mengele is different, though.. I mean, yes, he may have bought the propaganda.. but from a Doctor standpoint, I have a feeling that he was just hyperfocused on experimentation and lost his connection to humanity. Kind of like the fictitious guy in a horror movie called "The Human Centipede." (Never seen it or sequels, no thanks.) I asked a friend who went to Medical School how someone could do that stuff.. and he said he believes a medical doctor could very easily just focus on the tissues and the procedure, not the human being. They just get wrapped up in their work and lose their connection to people as people vs. just tissues and organs. Mengele had to have been evil and crazy, but I dunno if he got wrapped up in propaganda so much as maybe he just got too hyperfocused on his experiments.

Yes he was hyper-fixated but I think the propaganda was a convenient smokescreen for him (and others in the SS) to express their psychopathy. A lot of his experiments lacked any science (let alone ethics). He had thousands of test subjects who he could do anything he wanted and then dispose the bodies. He took a "suck it and see" approach without much concern over the consequences for the unwilling participants.

Following WWII a lot of his research and other notable Nazi scientists was whisked away and studied in secret by the Americans as the data was still useful for medical purposes (for example drowning jews in ice water to see how long the body takes to develop hypothermia).

Is it really an issue of prevalence, or does it have more to do with more money meaning more opportunities a greater likelihood to get a free pass--people looking the other way until the walls come tumbling down, if ever--so they can continue unabated?

On the other hand, are sociopaths with less money, power, and fame just more likely to be killed/locked away sooner and/or given less press because they're in a demographic that's already dismissed as "trash" or overlooked by society anyway? If the victims or witnesses are also already overlooked, we know how little credence their charges will be given, because literally sometimes, who cares? Will their cases--victims and perpetrators alike--ever be known to the public?

Watch the reaction of the Capitol police when one of their own was being pummelled by the MAGAs on the ground. None rushed to his aid. It seems really strange they knew advance of thousands arriving at the Capitol building yet none of them had tazers, gas, weapons or shields.

If even a few hundred BLM arrived for a protest they would have sent the army.
