The US didn't have PPE stockpiled up like they should. USA Ranks 32nd in the world with the number of hospital beds per 1000 people (2.8 per 1000) and only have 20 Ventilators per 100 000 people it wouldn't take something must worse then the Flu to collapse a healthcare system trying to run that lean.

Apple’s newest product is a face shield to protect against COVID-19

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to surge, one of the things that has become horrifyingly evident is there isn’t enough personal protective equipment (PPE) to go around to all the health professionals and caregivers who are putting themselves in harm’s way treating people struck with the disease.

The majority of this much-needed PPE includes face masks, face shields, and gloves. And while governments around the world are racing to secure supplies, companies have also joined the fight in trying to get PPEs to health professionals. Many tech companies in the Valley have already donated the face mask supplies they had built up to protect workers from California wildfires and soon moved to work with their supply chain contacts to acquire even more for frontline workers.

Matter of fact, in a video posted by Tim Cook last night, the Apple CEO announced that Apple has now sourced over 20 million face masks via its supply chain around the world. But Apple isn’t stopping there. Cook also announced that the company, known for the sleek industrial design of its smartphones and computers, has turned its design know-how and engineering and operations expertise to creating and manufacturing a face shield that health professionals can use on the front line.

This perfectly describes people who listen to members of the public on health precautions and not to medical specialists.

It perfectly describes people going along with whomever they consider to be an authority.

There are a slew of examples where medical specialists have done a 180 on things they have told the public.

Like taking aspirin daily. For at least a couple of decades studies proved over and over how beneficial it was to heart health. Now their studies say it does nothing to help the heart or prevent heart atracks etc and can actually be quite dangerous to take daily.

O/T
Someone I know was hospitalised due to blood leakage into his lung.
It was identified that the daily aspirin dosage he was taking was the villain of the piece.

How meaningless is it to post that pic without giving its date?

If that was 24 hours ago, I'd say it's legitimate given that China's pretty much over the hill with this virus and the Wall was far from the hotspots

The quote pertains to your belief in obvious partisan election year propaganda because you want it to be true.

Wait another few weeks and see.
I'm curious myself.

April is supposed to be the time it is at it's worst. Of course if that doesn't happen Fauci's magical models will say May. And then June. By the time it is figured out that it's BS, if so, it will be too late.

It's like watching the Titanic sink in slow motion.

Only if we remain on the climbing side of the curve.
New York has probably reached the summit and their worst time is likely now.
I don't know for how long constant number of deaths/day will stay. In Iran, it's been stable for the last 2 weeks and no signs of change yet.
The rest of US is still growing.
