According to some here who’s ideologies are on the political right, people here have forced them to leave.

I guess they can’t stand reading things about Canadians & others having single payer universal healthcare.

Yes I can think of a couple of long-term members who threatened to leave WP for that reason.

Maybe they left WP and snuck into Canada?

I wonder if some of the Capitol Rioters went to Canada?
If they drove up there before their names were known, they would have no problem crossing the border.

They're all traitors to me, so what difference does it make, I mean I suppose my favorite traitor/s was whichever one or ones did not break into the capital and remained outside but that is not saying much since they just stood by without encouraging their fellow protesters to remain peaceful.

Except for the fact that the land crossings have been closed for several months due to covid. Unless they're a commercial driver coming through a commercial port with good/parcels, a Canadian, or someone with extenuating circumstances for a compassionate exemption like visiting a dying relative that's on their death bed, then all Americans will have a big problem trying to cross the border into Canada right now.

*Unless you take an airplane. Then they don't really seem to care that much for some stupid reason - but - they do require negative covid tests before leaving, and then a negative test after you get here, and you have to pay $2000 to stay in a covid hotel for few days awaiting results AND then have to quarantine for 14 days I *think*. (I think that applies to all air travellers and not just returning Canadians - but our rules on that stuff did just get stricter with the addition of the negative tests and $2k covid hotel stay for a few days vs. just 14 day quarantine on the honour system.)

They have all fled to Canada and rented a B&B in Goldfishes neighborhood.

lol all the nosy neighbours on this couple blocks would s**t bricks if there were any extra cars taking up parking spaces.. they'd have a difficult time staying here for that reason alone. But, I suppose it's possible.. people would just b***h and complain - especially if they were never before seen US plates parked all over the neighbourhood - these people watch the parking situation like hawks and post their complaints to a neighbourhood facebook group before calling the city.

Not sure if anyone airbnb's in this neighbourhood at all. Some loser neighbour phone the city and complained that we had an unauthorized suite in our garage. Umm, no, you as*holes.. there are only 3 people that live in this 3200sf house. We simply use our garage door as our main entrance, and the walls are finished and painted, the floor is salvaged interlocking rubber from some job site, the counters and cabinets came from banks being renovated, it's unheated besides a plug in electric space heater, the fridges and freezer are food and drinks, and we store vehicles, tools, and sporting goods in there. No one lives in our garage. But, some city inspector came and knocked on the door to ask about it because Someone here assumed ~mostly finished garage with cupboards, counters, and fridge = living space. lol F off & mind your own business - do whatever you want with your own garage. F'n blows my mind sometimes that some ppl on this block think they're entitled to tell others wtf they can or can't do with their ~$1.2M house. Like holy s**t, heaven forbid there was a family of 4 living here instead of just the 3 of us.

Sooo, yeah, unless they had permits and paid all the fees required I don't think anyone here is doing any B&B business. Especially during covid. And especially not for clients from the covid party capital of pretty much the world..

Really enjoyed reading your post.
I am very glad none of those rioters/insurrectionists could have run away to Canada and not face the justified consequences of their actions.
Canada’s precautions seem strict, but that disease is deadly.
Your government is doing what must be done to protect the people.
Regarding your neighborhood problems, I hear/read situations like yours and I want someone to PLEASE start a website where anyone can write in and describe their Toxic Neighbors!!
I would be checking in a couple of times a day to read about the latest hostile behavior!

That's actually quite the clever idea.. an entire site devoted to:

1. Sharing the stories & updates of toxic neighbour sagas.
2. Discussing what to do about them - everything from serious stuff like dealing with tenancy laws or police matters, to how to politely and respectfully resolve a dispute, to.. pranks & revenge.

I bet you're right and if no such site exists with the express purpose that it would in fact gain traction and followers. Could be a forum, could be a sub-redit, could be a Facebook group - I dunno - but if it doesn't exist I bet someone could make money with it's existence. Or at the very least create a source of endless entertainment for themselves and their viewers/users.

It is no longer ‘he said, she said’, their appalling behavior is being videotaped, with sound, thus PROVEN!
Which is what has been needed for so long.
There are so, so many people in both categories, that each group (or pack, perhaps, like dingos and hyenas?) really needs their own website!

there are already too many of those to shake a stick at, and still action has not taken place to fix this problem.
