Libertarians can run the political gamut.

The basic definition is a person who does not believe in government interference in the lives of individual persons.

I make no assumption about the political beliefs of a person who says he/she is a libertarian.

I thought it was a mix to the point of being both pro-gun and pro-choice.

Liberal in the sense of Liberty/Freedom: so low tax, pro-choice, pro-gun, pro-market.
Not sure about borders & sexuality: it would make sense for them to be for open borders and no restrictions on sexuality, but IDK.
I think of them as “fundamentalist liberals” in that they don’t like controls/limits on the individual regardless of whether they come from a rightist or a leftist direction.

Just a tip from the Lizards. :P

Does it assimilate those already assimilated by the Borg?

Yes.It has mutated for that. The Borg cube will now be a giant Corona virus sphere bumping through the cosmos.

Wow! A Borg-cube-sized coronavirus assimilating everything it meets! That's something!

They will rule the Coronaverse.

If it is anti gun does that mean you cant have a gun in home for self defense ?

so say if someone breaks in (my sister lives in a bad area and just a few weeks ago when she was actually ill-- someone broke into her car and stole a purse or wallet..insurance covered the damage and whatnot but still) and you do use a gun then you are the one in trouble (jail or fined) not the intruder/potential murderer or thief?

The other thing I was thinking... Even if the government is anti gun ... Would it make sense to still allow people to have gun for self defense --allowed in areas where crimes like theft are common (a question of statistics)?
Is that a thing?

An interesting correlation found regarding the old TB vaccine.

Not sure how that might work.

IMHO - The central focus of libertarianism is to minimize the role of government. It is to allow people to make their own decisions and have government move out of their way.

That’s what I meant :D
So no legal penalties for any consenting sexual practice, no restrictions on ownership of weaponry, no restrictions on birth control methods and no tax on capital: but there is still a minimal state as umpire or “night watchman”?
Halfway between a classical C18th liberal and an anarchist.
Like a socialist is halfway between a social democrat and a communist, or a reactionary is halfway between a conservative and a fascist. (In my head there’s a big three legged stool with symbols carved on it).

That writer is from a page about gardening to reduce dependence on store bought foods and save money.

This pandemic produced a lot of panic buying.

I think the first item that was targeted was face masks/respirators. This occurred before most Americans even realized there was a pandemic underway. I suspect most of the buying at this stage was Chinese buying up face masks supplies all over the globe and shipping them back to China.

The next item was toilet paper. I predicted that a couple weeks before it actually began.

Then there was hand sanitizer gel. That was followed by a run on paper towels.

One of the odd items that was sold out was flour. This was driven by the following. If I have to be quarantined, I might as well bake something.

Now in reading the news today, there is another item that is quickly being bought up. It is BABY CHICKS, little baby chicks are currently flying off the shelves. Who would have guessed. I suspect this is being driven by a strong desire to go back to nature. Grow your own gardens, raise your own animals. Live free and independent. Raise your own food.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE CORONAVIRUS ENDS?

When people have been cooped up in their homes, surviving the quarantine, they need a release. They will find it by hitting the national parks, amusement parks and the great outdoors. This trek will almost burst the seams in attendance numbers, forcing some of these sites to ration access. How can I predict this?

All I have to do is look at China.

A popular tourist attraction in the Anhui province of China was reopened this weekend and then quickly closed to visitors when more than 20,000 flocked to the site.

I live in the country and we have a small newspaper. It is published twice a week and today's edition was 8 pages. That is small. One article in today's paper caught my attention. "Indiana disinfectant light maker adjust to surge in demand". One of the methods to destroy the coronavirus is UVC radiation. So in Indiana there is a small company that creates hardware to do just that. It is named American Ultraviolet Company. The company use to sell about 10 handheld disinfecting lights a month before the coronavirus outbreak. Now, its churning out 250 units a week.

When ultraviolet light comes in contact with the DNA of a microscopic organism like a mold spore, a bacteria or a virus, that wavelength of energy is able to penetrate the cell walls and later its DNA. As a result, the puzzle pieces don't match up anymore. Effectively, if an organism can't reproduce, it will die out.

Part of the company's business is selling UVC systems to purify surgical operating rooms. It also sells units for ambulances.
