So you don't see anything positive in the guy and are merely playing devil's advocate agains anti-Trump posts for the sheer entertainment of seeing people get riled up about it?

What part of objective and dispassionate didn't you get? And you don't have to be a fan of someone to view certain statements made about them as hyperbole.

Uh, except nothing I stated is hyperbole. Just the simple basic facts of the matter.

Facts are one thing. Interpretations, conclusions and reactions are another.

I'm well aware. Seems you have some learning to do, young grasshoppah.

Learning or indoctrinating?

I have been following these matters since their inception.

Learning. I'm familiar with the difference.

If Fox News & Friends is where you've been getting your information, you may want to broaden your horizons.

Interpretations and conclusions often lead to the attainment of facts.

Without interpretations and conclusions, no discovery would ever have been made.

Throw in the word "inquiry/enquiry."

 There are no misinterpretations when it's Trump's own words & actions that put all of his negative characteristics on display for the whole world to see.

Who's doing the indoctrinating? Does George Soros or one of the Clinton's have their hand so far up Trump's ass they can Kermit his words for him?

Ah so you are saying biased news souces affect one's perception of facts.

That's why I follow the least biased straightforward news I can like Reuters and AP (which I've said many times already).

Perhaps if I had been fed a steady diet of biased partisan sensationalism news, I would see things more like you do.

trump has his finger on the pulse of the young mindsets of the USA.
his use of twitter to tweet idle spontaneous unvetted thoughts is brilliant.

the amount of controversy generated is gargantuan and never in the history of presidents, has any of them fed burley to the bait fish that surround him so invitingly.

i hope he does watch teenage generated trash on youtube. at least he's in the loop.

the story is hard to substantiate since it is not known who counts the cans of diet coke he opens, or what their interpretation of "watching TV" is.

there is always a number of news monitors on in the office just in case of a surprise event.

the media is almost always first on the scene, so that is what to have on "in the background".
911 is a classic case.

maybe he has 12 cans opened for him and takes a sip out of one and then does not attend to it until it goes warm and flat? then it is conceivable he would want a new one and take only one sip of that one and so on.

who knows?
who cares?
you guys do.

it's amazing that trump has inspired the most fervent of discussions which i am sure people enjoy on wrong planet.
it gives them a chance to chew their cheeks and put forth their imaginative narratives.

but in reality it is all moot. 300 million people each with a different slant on things, screeching their doctrines aimlessly at the crowd of white noise is just insane to me.

what is interesting for me to think about is if one could hear everyone's protests on earth all at the same time,
it would sound like white noise, and white noise sounds like "shhhhhh!!".
the media is only interested in readership, and readership comes from sensationalization.
so they always focus their cameras minutely on emotional faces, and if it is sufficiently "grabby", they will use it.

gossip and other s**t is what a lot of people feed themselves with. i have no idea why..

anyway, here is an episode from an australian comedy series called "front line" which is so true about the whole process of media representation. even now.

it goes for 30 mins and if you want to watch brilliant aussie comedy click on the links (9mins each).

That's about the same amount of diet soda I drink. I usually go through a couple of 2 litre bottles per day. Sometimes I drink diet coke but I prefer diet pepsi.

Uhhh, time off?

He golfs every 5.6 days. He watches up to 45H of TV in between golf games. When does he work? :?

"the enemy of my enemy is my friend" which is an old meme. they see him as the victorious strong man whom they admire and want to emulate. they see him picking on weaklings whom they despise. they want to be him.

What's there to be curious about? They state exactly what they see in the man all the time here on WP and many places elsewhere.

A few of those are:

Healthcare - Obamacare was predicated upon the lie that "if you like your doctor and your insurance you can keep them" and has become a disaster that's falling apart. They feel that way, Trump feels that way, so that's what they see in him.

The economy - It's doing poorly and people are out of work. What they see in Trump is someone who wants to change that.

Illegal immigration - People want the same level of tight immigration as Canada and other countries have. They see Trump trying to provide that.

It's really not that hard to figure out.
