The Media and the Mob

There was a video they didn't shout build the wall.
It was passive for sure he literally just stood there, aggressive? No the old man was the aggressor the kid just stood his ground in the face of a bully.
I thought videos were untrustworthy as a source of truth. And yet you rely on it when you think it supports your preconceived notions.
Typical Republican, blame the victim. BTW Trump just made some forms of spousal abuse legal.
There's more than enough video coverage to show exactly what all transpired. This is like a litmus test to show if you're an objective observer or if your subjective bias prevents you from seeing things the way they really are.

At no point did I say Videos were untrustworthy, don't just watch a couple of seconds of a video and make a final judgement on someone.
Typical Republican, I'm British Atheist not very Republican.

Video and photographic evidence can be deceiving when only part of what all was going on is shown. In this case there is extensive footage of all that transpired.
Walking up to someone and banging a drum in their face, while getting smiled at doesn't make someone a victim.

You would fit right in though. You did point out that I made a mistake by having an opinion about a video. Most viral videos are short.

I already admitted that I'm willing to revise my opinion based on new information. The situation was more complex, but still problematic.

My initial opinion was similar to yours I thought the kid was a dick. I did a couple of minutes of research and saw he was the victim.

Sandmann’s statement had been crafted by a Republican-linked public relations firm founded in part by a former staff member and adviser to current Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, also of Kentucky.
So unbiased. They also represent tobacco companies, so you know they are scum.

I don't see your point. A child was slandered by multiple news outlets, people were calling for violence against him including celebrities, people were wishing him dead, comparing him to the Hitler youth, trying to get his mother fired. So after all this he accepted some free representation how does that make him a bad person?

You are difficult to read then, because you're also saying things that make you sound very adamant that Philips was the victim and Sandmann was the aggressor.

I mean you can't trust Republicans to tell the truth, least of all Mitch McConnell and his ilk. Calling for violence is wrong, but expressing your feelings is not. They do resemble Hitler youth.

I think Phillips' movement and position were innocent, but could have been misunderstood. I think Sandmann is lying, but also can't be entirely condemned since he is probably a minor and exercised bad judgement, as he admitted. He said he wished he walked away.

In what sense their skin colour? Did the Hitler youth defend gay rights?

Loyalty to a bigot, denigration of minorities, and wearing a symbol of that oppression.
