I just tried the CDC website.
I do not recommend it.
It said it was updated February, 2020; there were 2,000+ deaths.
I still do not understand what anyone (or any organization) is gaining by continuing to deny that we have a plague going on.
People are not wearing masks, removing them inappropriately, not distancing; it’s scary.
And I am not going to argue or confront any of them; they will be exhaling as they argue back at me!
:skull:

I was referring to politics. November 3rd election day for president of the US.

Even though covid is worldwide, many in countries outside the US are placing a huge focus on the US president.

Yes I got that was posing the idea that the vaccine will be controlled by the politicians ?

That seems to basically be the idea. That who you vote for will determine the outcome of Covid-19. After the election that particular emphasis of urgency won't be there any longer.

But I think that has more to do with measures being taken, such as shutdowns, before a vaccine becomes fully available and has also been proven to be effective enough.

Rather as no-problem as possible until November 3rd.
I assure you that, while the whole world is interested in US election, other countries have enough troubles on their own not to be that obsessed with it.
Current spikes of new cases in Europe are nothing more and nothing less than current spikes of new cases in Europe. The world does not revolve around some two silly old men.

I'd say it swings both ways.

True. However on WP at least I see almost an exclusive focus on the US presidency rather than people saying much of anything about the leader of their country.

In my case, it's because profanities are not allowed :jester:

I know the history of WP. Magz is one of the founding moderators along with Folksinger who's married to Funeralxempire. And Cornflower is the new mod they appointed after The_Sealion and Skillsaw retired.

It would be hard for me to discuss my current government without using quite a lot of profanities.

Oh okay. I thought maybe it was some wordplay thing involving his name or something.

Unfortunately, it's probably going to get at least somewhat worse after Election Day.

COVID knows no politics...anybody know a Virus with a Bias?
