Zendell, you're like fourteen. You have got to be a kid.

i don't see what difference it makes how old i am but im not 14 although someone at an amusement park last summer thought i was 16.

The difference is that religious fervor with which you state your opinion and the inability to conceive of another view point, your vested interest with preserving a point of view without rationally considering all the research, sources, and viewpoints smacks not just of Aspie-ism, but an adolescent need to one up someone. Your viewpoint is (probably) not based on real testable knowledge, but anecdotal experience, Google U, and whatever you were raised with. There are probably some other stuff mixed in there--I know I have to deal with that with my kids.

As a researcher, I have to consider sources, and one of the problems with a site like WP is remembering I am not dealing with credible sources of information. I'm dealing with people who have come to their place in life related to a neurological condition, either in themselves and/or a relative, and as such, there's quite an olio of personalities here on WP.

You have every right to your opinion, just as anyone else has a right to consider it. Or not.

At my age, with my experience, after going through the same types of beliefs as you (and probably a few others that have disappeared), I've realized it's mostly magical thinking. That kind of thinking has hurt more people, and the only way they can deal with it is on one's own.

Knowing where you are, maturity and knowledge wise, helps me to figure out whether or not to post on a thread. Now I know.
