Perhaps, but it doesn't change the fact that Trump hasn't been inspiring, initially, at least.

Churchill and Stalin both eventually realised that they should leave military considerations to the experts, didn't they?
I believe Trump has finally realised the need to do the same, in regard to coronavirus?
Correct me if I am wrong.

The New York Times has developed a coronavirus tracker. You will find it here:

Coronavirus in the U.S.: How Fast It’s Growing

It appears to be a very useful tool.

Skip looking at the cumulative data, while they give you a sense of the scale, they do not tell you whether things are getting better or worse. For that, you need to look at the daily growth charts – the ones that are showing the rate of change. Flattening the curve requires the rate of change to go to zero and then hopefully negative.

COVID-19 deaths occur 5 to 14 days after diagnosis and hospitalization, they are a lagging indicator, so keep that in mind. The number of new cases will peak before the deaths. Finally, look at the new cases per population graph. Here you can see the information “normalized” for the population; here, you understand that New Orleans is faring worse than NYC.

Same here.
Sometimes I forget that people are dying and then I feel guilty about it.

People are *always* dying.
The vast majority simply aren't reported, under "normal" circumstances.

People are prematurely dying of the garden variety flu, too.

I am not being unsympathetic.
I am being aspie factual.

I’m getting tested tomorrow. If I’m negative, I’ll still give blood.

Suifenhe, a city along China’s northern border with Russia, is now ordering residents to stay inside and only go outside for necessities once every three days, Reuters reports, citing state media.

The restrictive measures were issued after provincial health officials reported 25 new coronavirus cases there Tuesday, spurred by people entering China through a border checkpoint.

I'll play devil's advocate and say there won't be a baby boom. Many couples aren't even able to see each other to conceive if they wanted to. Couples who are already married / living together / sharing a space have probably realised a) they already have enough children (kids are out of school, and a handful), b) they were already on birth control before and afraid to get pregnant / need medical care now, or c) the couple is fighting because of sharing space without privacy.

Of course that's just my opposite opinion, as usual.

One thing's for sure, most babies who are conceived will likely be from couples who are at least married, or in committed relationships rather than accidental pregnancies from a less-committed / not-married partner.

All good points,
However,
You are assuming people are behaving rationally.
Globally, most lean more towards emotionalism, rather than rationality.

How else can you explain the preponderance of younger political progressives?

Regrettably, I did hear of a woman who gave birth to twins and named them Corona and Covid.

True story.
