In some cultures, it was a sign of respect by eating the flesh of their relatives,
Errr, after they died.
That is why I have installed a triple deadlock on my door.

I'd advise you carefully remove the anal scent gland first, though.

A bit of "fun" for the parents could mean a tougher life for their kids.

They should have called the boys (if they are both males) Sue 1 and Sue 2.

"A boy named Sue."

Do we need 'skunk' and 'pot', or is it just 'skunk pot'?
Personally, I'd settle for cannabis casserole.

It was a definite play on words, after the snorting comments.

Especially when they turn 40.

Quarante means “40” in French.

:P

and I forgot d) most couples will realise they can't afford a baby between lost jobs and the possibility of steep medical debt for possible COVID treatment / pregnancy costs. It cost a woman I know $100 000 USD to suffer a miscarriage last week (with complications), and my cousin spent $8 000 USD out of pocket just to give birth.

I don't know what it is like now, but some cultures encouraged 13 or more kids.
The thinking was, half would probably die of disease and malnutrition, but the other half could look after the parents.
Despicable.

One government of that sort of cultural thinking, advertised the benefits of having 2 children, as opposed to 13.
A picture of a family of two kids, dressed well and a healthy weight, adjacent to a large family in poverty.

I'm sure that things have improved in some cultures/countries, but never underestimate the gross stupidity and selfishness of the human animal. 8O

Who knows, maybe the woman has twins again in the future and names them "quarantine" and "isolation"?

And yet there are approximately 360,000 babies born per day.

That poor woman! 8O

I don't know the sex of the babies, but thanks for the song -- one of my (late) dad's favourites.

Always great to hear it.

As sick as it may sound, the world needs close to the same number of people dying as people being born to maintain a balance. That's why nature put a life span on humans. And the average lifespan continually exceeds nature's design. The average lifespan is about 25-30 years longer than it was less than 100 years ago. That's why the population is 8,000,000,000 and counting. People are more afraid of death these days than they were in the past.
