This is nothing. When I was in high school I got a week OSS for telling a bully to apologize for making fun of me.

Are you all aware that the boy had been bullied by this group for 3 years?

Obviously we'd figure that this isn't the first time these kids have been hassling him.

It wasn't obvious to me.

Oh ok, I thought it would be since almost everyone here has been bullied at one point or another.

I'm glad that the victim fought back. But why punish him?? Makes no sense at all.

Cuz if the school holds both sides responsible, they won't get sued. Unlike what the "Violences solves nothing!" crowd usually tells you.

It seems teachers aren't immune to playground politics. It was the same for my dad when he was at school, he has a short temper and all the other kids used to push him to the limits so when he did fight back, guess who got punished?

the bullyboy, in a tv interview, refused to apologize to his victim. the bullyboy's mother was at first thought to have also demanded that the victim and his family apologize, but now it seems that [she claimed] she was misinterpreted, and that she now says she's asked her bullyboy to apologize to the victim instead. i don't know who's telling the truth here, 'cept for the bullyboy who at least is honestly hateful of his victim. if the bully's mother doesn't practice tough love to her son NOW, 1 of two possible and tragic life path await her son- he will either receive a definitive [and possibly fatal] comeuppance from another misunderestimated victim, or he will grow up to be a professional thug, and either of these outcomes would be tragic not only for the bully himself but for society as well. if she truly loved her son, she would not spare him the disciplinary correction of attitude that he so sorely needs. just my 2-cents' worth, adjusted for inflation.

I'm getting real f*****g fed up with the p**** parenting these days. Parents need to instill a goddamn sense of responsibility in their kids instead of pampering em like this. I just watched the video and it really pissed me off. There is no room for misinterpretation here and she clearly asked Casey to apologize which contradicts what she said about her son deserving it. What a bunch of f*****g double talk. It makes no sense to say your son deserved while at the same time asking Casey to apologize. She even had the nerve to say that "Violences solves nothing" crap as if they're both equally guilty. What a filthy b***h.

And yes if he doesn't get the discipline he deserves he will probably not stray from the road to degeneration. This is why our society needs to grow a pair and not tolerate BS like this. I doubt he will be a hardcore thug though, the kid is just a p**** who was trying to impress people rather than engage in a real fight so if he does become involved in a criminal lifestyle he would definitely become someone's b***h in prison.

Did you watch the interview with Casey? It made me cry. He seems to be a really lovely boy and even I, an aspie, could see on his face the amount of hurt he was carrying with him. :(

Yeah I can definitely see how broken spirited he is. Poor guy, I have a feeling this isn't gonna be the last time so I hope he can take care of himself and find some good friends who can back him up.

unfortunately this world is full of psychic vampires [bullies] who feed on other people's pain. when they interviewed the bully, you could just see the coldness in his eyes.
