Massachusetts has the best museums. You can learn so much all going around visiting the parks and attractions.

Me thinks Alabami and Mississippi already wear the badge with honour

It’s not really fair to judge them like that.Poor states have poor education systems, not really a chance for people to advance themselves.

I'm sure voting Trump means they weren't thinking of their long term future or their kids education

Many Americans voted for him, some live in good school districts and kids going to private schools.
I think poor people voted for him out of desperation. The schools were messed up in the rural South long before Trump came along. You need money for good schools and those states don’t have it.

Texas ranked 33rd, and we *do* have the money, but the school districts are spending their money on shiny new football stadiums, all while a certain lieutenant governor proposes hike after hike in property taxes.

We’re 45 in education but happily 19 in environment.

Trump never promised any support for secondary (Let alone for higher education) so not sure how voters thought he would solve their most burning issue?

In 2016 Hillary Clinton stood for improving education opportunities for Americans
https://www.insidehighered.com/views/20 ... nity-essay
https://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/09/us/p ... ation.html
Mrs. Clinton: The Democratic nominee has taken a vastly different position than her opponent, putting forward a plan that includes free tuition at public colleges and universities for students whose families earn less than $125,000 annually. Her $500 billion plan would require tax increases on the rich so that more students could graduate without debt.

Despite education being the most important issue for this state - It's clear Alabamans voted for Trump because they hate blacks and Mexicans more than their care for their kid's education

Bill Clinton was our governor for years and our schools still suck(45th)so I don’t really buy that Hill would have done anything.Sanders would be a better choice.I believe he would have helped.
Many, many Americans voted for him so they all must hate minorities by that logic, and I’m sure some do.Some don’t,believe it or not.
Trump is a real estate man, he knows how to throw a sales pitch,
Unfortunately many poor Americans bought his pie in the sky line.

I think some of the southern US states could take a step to join the 21st century by first ditching the confederate flag which suggest pride in backwardness...

I wonder if wilburforce is still around. I haven't forgotten when she said over 4 years ago that abortion "wasn't worth discussing" because it will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever be illegal again, so there Mikah, you right wing crazypants.

They would have to move there. I believe it's Georgia's law, could be Alabama too; even a woman that seeks a legal abortion out of state could be charged with conspiracy to commit murder, punishable by 10 years’ imprisonment. AND anyone that were to help her in in her journey to have the abortion could also be charged with conspiracy.

Someone said it on the first page, none of this have CRAP to do with preserving life, the sanctity of life or whatever other holier than thou, BS reason they're spouting and everything to do with controlling women.

In Alabama, only the doctor performing the procedure is charged. Not sure about any of the other states with similar laws. Texas was considering the death penalty for doctors performing "illegal" abortions. The bill that proposed it didn't pass.

Texas' law has a 20-week limit

Come to think of it, I haven't seen Kara with the really long user name either. Both she and wilburforce are Canadian, that I do remember.
