Both Cockney Rebel and fFnord made good points.
Stay Frosty’s latest post is sad but true.

Trying to excuse deaths because of "underlying health issues" is just plain crazy.
Perhaps if the country wasn't flooded with processed food and high sugar content Covid-19 wouldn't be as big of a deal.

But that's what generates the biggest profit margins, so it's what our unregulated corporate overlords sell us.

I think Canada is close to curing curing Diabetes. A company in Canada cured mice of it. Covid vaccines will make Big Pharma a fortune.

I'm not sure what that has to do with poor quality food-like substance. Are you suggesting the other health problems associated with a high-sugar diet won't matter if this cure actually works?

Just imagine if our president or our state gov decided certain people were not required to wear masks but they do not say what their intentions behind it were. Their intentions were they wanted certain races to die and certain humans. This my friend would be eugenics or something and I would see this as Nazism but under a guise. 8O

Well, if you believe that we only lack a pill that miraculously cures cancer (a major risk factor for dying from COVID) because Big Pharma doesn't find it profitable to make one, then feel free to make it yourself.

As long as the people who tell me what I need to know are appropriately-trained, degreed, and licensed experts on what they tell me -- not some losers who seem more interested in being believed than in telling the actual truth.

Following the experts like everyone else is groupthink for sheeple. I prefer to listen to the non-experts who disagree most aggressively with the experts, especially when they appeal to my pre-existing biases. I'm an objective critical thinker. 8)

Of course, it is useful to look into dissenting opinions, if only to be aware of the different perspectives.

But when it comes to actual science-based coronavirus topics, there is more credibility in virologists, epidemiologists, and general practitioners than in (for example) some unemployed day-laborer sitting in his double-wide banging way at a keyboard with two fingers while listening to a YouTube video from Stormfront.

You don’t brush or floss either because that’s just silly dental propaganda.

I'd rather be a living sheeple than a dead nonconformist.

Some of the "pre-existing conditions" people have are not serious on the face of it----but COVID exacerbates them.

And, alas, severe COVID does occur in previously healthy people----too much "enough," especially, for the families that have to suffer through their passing away.
