There are opium addicts in Afghanistan, but I'm pretty sure the Koran forbids drug use.

That's recreational; not medical. I doubt many extremists would even realize similarities/distinctions.

Opium addiction can be used to control soldiers. It was used on child soldiers in Africa.

That is an interesting statement, as if ... Was the Koran written after the phenomenon of recreational drug use was defined? A prophecy? The bible does not seem to mention plants or chemicals as forbidden at all (except for one fruit in the garden of Eden) although it says that drunkenness (exceeding moderation with wine) is not good. Morphine was unknown until 1817.

Hmmm. Maybe it's a case of "haraam" (forbidden foods) being all that is not permitted.

The SAS are in Afghanistan. My government readily provides more information on the conflict to the public than yours. I have to tell you; what you are claiming is exaggerations and fabrications. Children with deformities are being born, yes - but long before the UN forces arrived. That's a result of the constant inter-religion/ethnicity warfare.
None of the forces in Afghanistan use uranium based weaponry. Matter of fact, they are using the wrong types of weapons. 5.56mm rounds don't have enough stopping power to be effective against fanatics drugged up to feel no pain.

What are these fanatisc drugged up with? You'd think drugs would be against their religion.

Painkillers, anaesthetic. Anything that numbs without paralyzing. They also cover themselves in bandages and tourniquets before a fight. They fight with the goal of dying and killing as many soldiers as possible.

That doesn't sound like a good idea. I think Muslims are really against taking drugs, but I'l defer to you since you obviously know what you're talking about.
