The hypothesis that alternate time lines and other universes exist is beyond empirical testing.

Furthermore the hypothesis does not lead to empirically testable predictions that follow exclusively from the hypothesis. Other worlds is a very amusing hypothesis and the source of much entertaining science fiction, but it is unscientific.
