In Alabama, only the doctor performing the procedure is charged. Not sure about any of the other states with similar laws. Texas was considering the death penalty for doctors performing "illegal" abortions. The bill that proposed it didn't pass.
Texas' law has a 20-week limit
Ahn. The trouble is if one place has it, it's not a stretch to expect another state will also at least try to implement. So there's no respite in it only being Georgia. Particularly when the goal of these states is in hope to overturn Roe vs. Wade

There are true believers who I respect, and then there are political shills who are pro-life because it sounds good in their circles. You can usually tell the difference by asking for an opinion on exceptions. A true believer will not want exceptions because there's no justification for murder, while a political shill will say exceptions for rape and incest because well it sounds good in their circles.
You have utterly missed what I was saying about it all being BS.
True believers of
what? Pro-birth? Because it sure isn't Pro-life when they aren't also fighting their butts off for things like having people fed, housed, educated, granted equal access to healthcare, funded in cases of poverty, and trying to abolish things like the death penalty(Which Alabama still has; 'no exceptions for murder' huh?).

Alabama State Senator Clyde Chambliss admitted this wasn’t about “life.” Instead, he actually admitted what this was all about: “The egg in the lab doesn’t apply. It’s not in a woman. She’s not pregnant."
What is pro-life about banning abortions that has historically shown, and shown through extensive studies that it causes the death of uterus owners? It's not, it's BS. Regardless of the specific's of Alabama, it is wrong and BS to inflict your personal view or religious view(where in case of the bible the clearest note says life starts at first breath) to rob the body Autonomy of women and trans men. If you have a kidney match to someone that needs one, it can not be taken from you to save their life. Your organs/body parts can not be taken if you and given to another if you did not give permission for it even after you've died. This is body autonomy - and these 'abortion laws' make it so those with a uterus have less say over their body than a damn corpse.
Perhaps the “political shill” will say exceptions for rape and incest because someone managed to slap some tiny bit of empathy into them for the people that are already here living. Perhaps they think that the 12 year old that is raped by her uncle should be able to get an abortion and not go to jail and not have it be substantially longer than her rapist uncle would for raping her? Or maybe they just prefer to make their misogyny and desire to exert power and control over women less obvious >_>
