i dunno, listening to him and after reading one of his books.... I'm betting on beck as a "fictional character". Like Colbert, but much more convincing, and thus much more enthralling. I'll give this to the man. He knows how to command an audience.

As for the mainstream media - I'm more likely to get my news from them than I am from Fox. Maybe they have some liberal bias, but I find them far more reliable than Fox.

Then where are the tapes? Cause the mainstream media would have been overjoyed to play them all day long cause it fits their narrative.

As you yourself said, there was such a noise of the crowd that it would have been impossible to detect the slurs. I find Frank and company reliable enough.

I never said anything of the sort, I'm saying there are no tapes because the slurs probably were never said.

Well, I like it better the way I said it.

What I said is probably more accurate though.

While that may very well be true, no one takes Colbert seriously. Beck, on the other hand, has legions of devoted followers who believe his every word.

To turn that right back around we have legions of people that refuse to believe what Glenn Beck says no matter how much evidence corroborates what he says simply because his name is Glenn Beck.

I really think it has more to do with the fact that many people know Glenn Beck is nuts, regardless of what his name is.

Frankly, he's either Nuts, a Political Prophet, or a Marketing Genius. I'm betting on the last one.

Perhaps. But he obviously doesn't care about the long term harm he can cause by filling people's heads with lunacy. And that makes him truly dangerous.

It isn't lunacy when what he says turns out to be scarily accurate.

Also looks like one of Obama's friends is speaking again:

I have yet to see anything Beck predict to come true - I mean really true.
As for Farrakahn; yes, he's hopelessly insane, and hatefully so. But two things your wrong about-
1) The Black Muslims are hardly a large organization.
2) Just because he may have endorsed Obama, that doesn't mean Obama endorses him.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but by parades, I take you mean the riots. Those were pro-democracy movements, and not Muslim fanatics trying to establish a world wide Caliphate, like Beck and company claim.

Beck isn't crazy. He's an actor. He's an opportunist who will say things his demographic wants to hear, as long as it made him money. He doesn't believe the BS that comes out of his own mouth.

He's an ACTOR.

Actually here is where you are wrong while you are correct there are substancial pro-democracy movements in these countries, they are rather disorganized. In fact the only group participating in these "movements" that is extremely well organized is the Fanatical Muslim Brotherhood which is out to establish a world wide Caliphate. So Glenn Beck's analysis is actually realistic in stating that the fanatics are hoping and planning on gaining control of these countries and have a pretty good chance of seizing power (depending on what the military in said countries do).

The one country in the region where if there is a revolution we know would not be for a Caliphate would be Iran and the Obama administration is largely silent about Iran.

Well, buy Lucifer a toque and some mittens, because I agree with Inuyasha here. I have been lukewarm about the protests in Egypt, and I am no happier today than I was five weeks ago.

While I might not go so far as to see a danger of an actual restoration of the Caliphate, I do see a significant danger from the Muslim Brotherhood.
