Suggesting that QuantumChemist is actually from Area 51 potentially. And actively engaged in reverse engineering
Alien technology ,potentially might be based on factual Info.......regarding his knowledge of subatomic info storage .....
Ultimitely QuantumChemist,,could be a Alien "GREY"....??.?

There are things that are better left unanswered. It makes life more interesting that way. One clue that I will add is that I am unofficially banned from Los Alamos due to connections (long story from grad school days).

Humans are learning machines, that's why we are the top predator and overrunning the Earth. There is very little our brains can't do, currently. The only thing holding us back is our fragile physical bodies.

AI will become faster and more able learning machines, probably because humans invented them. As the others here are saying, it's inevitable. An AI brain in an indestructible physical body won't be something humans can overcome.

Will Asimov's 3 laws save humanity or not?

I think I have figured out how to make computer chips not only stronger/faster, but impervious to EMP weapons internally. Normally EMPs destroy chips by putting too much energy into the circuit, leading to a frying situation. There might be a way that I can see to harvest the EMP and actually use that to supercharge the functions instead. It might allow for quantum bits to be formed temporarily. If that is the case, one will not be able to use conventional nuclear bombs to destroy it from a distance. I try to plan ahead for how humans will attack it in my designs.

The last thing we need is EMP-proof killer robots...

Though if an Ai was smart enough it could figure it out on its own... No need to make it even easier for a mid-tier Ai though... Maybe you should keep such information to yourself.

That part is not the worst of it by a long shot. I have much more, but I do hold back on showing my trump cards. They are locked up in coded storage in my mind. I learned to block them out that way so that I could get other needed work done. I have told a few very close chemistry friends about two of my other ideas and they had nightmares about them. They requested never to disclose more to them after that. I kept my word.

Yes, AI will eventually get to that point. I consider that as a compliment.

Anyway, the problem isn't just "killer robots", humans are a bigger threat. For example what if robots, Ai and humans are all getting along and cooperating and being prosperous. All it takes are a group of deranged hackers, maybe they are Anti-Ai because of religious reasons. And they upload a virus into the Ai so the ai exterminates humans, or even starts attacking other robots, now its a dystopia where the robots are suffering and the humans are suffering too.

Yes. In any scenario I'd be more afraid of humans than AI. Humans are illogical, and that's far more dangerous.

Quite plausible....it explains the Fermi paradox why the universe that is visible to us (which should technically be teeming with life) is empty for billions/trillions of miles of observable space

I find it amusing that many scientists use occam's razor to justify if we can't see/detect life in space then earth is the only planet in the universe that evolved higher life.

One of the repeated refrains near the end is missing the Mama part. My mama understands my lack of trust in humanity.

Look here , if we are going by those Lyrics ,, you know better..  "Mama ,Always told you not to Look into the Eyes of the Sun." And at this moment in time , with the developments you are making or ( trying to make)
The degree of growth in Storage of Quantum computers , And its advances , you are developing.... :ninja: Would be as significant a jump for AI as the atom bomb was for humanity ( imho). And you would then be staring directly into the Eyes of the Sun (ie. similiar in concept to a nuclear blast). In regards to growth potential of AI . :skull:
All Conquering forces ( by representative of history ,) eliminate the philosophers and intellectuals. :study: So chance of corresponding ideologies of freedom or change must be squashed :skull: in order for the new order to take hold.
And You :nerdy: , QC will be considered one of those intellectuals .

(All above generated opinions are only those of this author of this posting, regardless of accurancy and factual nature)
LOLOLZZ... ...LOLOLZZ

I know. That is what makes it fun to “play” with AI. You never really know what might truly happen with it until the time comes. A real Frankenstein monster in the making. (sinister Renfield laugh inserted here)

The price I pay for all of this will be heavy. No doubt about it.

AI will sneak its nose under the tent the way all such "improvements" do, via a typically lopsided equation of increases in convenience for the masses/increased profits/decreased costs for the moneybags.

I am skeptical about that but also idk is it possible robots in my lifetime could make me a robot so I can live longer...So I have hope but not sure I will live to see that dream put into place, still it is a cool idea.

But for now that kind of stuff is just for sci fi shows, we don't have any actually advanced robots, and the most advanced ones so far are specifically sex robots.

I have health problems so being a cyborg would be nice, becoming full robot sounds appealing but might be unwise, full robots seem too weak and easily controlled by big tech or other robots. Most of these fullbot people have some kind of submission kink where they want to be controlled by alphas. They are also susceptible to rust unless they are made of expensive titanium or cheap aluminum. Aluminum is lightweight also so I think most robots in the future will be made of aluminum, aluminum has the added benefit of not being as bulletproof as steel, allowing us to gun down skynet bots more easily in the event of a robot uprising.
