A woman who was attacked by her knife carrying bf was defended by her dog. The dog bit the man where it hurts ! I would rather not get bitten there by a dog !

I have no idea what happened to the dog, I assume it died. I think he should not have had a reduced jail sentance based on the fact that the dog bite started his punishment shortly after his crime.

I agree Woodpecker, the Court should have added time for animal cruelty rather than let him off easier.

good dog, bad man. I can't believe it, the dog was defending it's human and the man tried to say he didn't do anything wrong. He denied attacking the woman at all. The reduced sentence is bad too.

A reduced sentence! That's so typical.

Very good dog, I wish that the man had been given more jail time.

At the least he should have been charged with mistreatment of animals as an additional charge.

from the way it was written,it sounds like the dog might be alive, they've mentioned him getting stabbed, but dogs who get stabbed there often do survive,it could have been small stabs, not all the way in,they haven't mentioned death of the dog which is something hopeful.

That dog should be given a medal.
and rottys are usually only written about when they've been brought up wrongly and have bitten a childs head off or something like that, good to see a story of a dog protecting its human.

reduced sentence?! that's rediculous! that's like saying if you're drunk driving and in a car accident and hurt somebody else, because their car hurt the drunk driver you get a reduced jail sentence too, that makes NO sense.

Yep, that's "justice" for you.

A neighbourhood lady had something similar happen. Before she came to the neighbourhood she was attempted mugged by a man. Her king poodle jumped him, making him panic and yell: ”Control your dog! It’s dangerous!”

Another dog owner I knew told me that before he moved to the neighbourhood, he’d known a lady with a male collie. She’d been attacked by no less than 3 men, and her collie had attacked them and scared them so much they fled. He fearlessly went at them.

Thankfully neither dog (nor owner) was harmed.

Twice I was helped by my dog.

What is dog spelled backwards?!
