Celebrating good times topic

And Timmy's is coming home (Cheaper taxes!)

Apple pie, poutine, and back bacon. And for those who drink, Molson's and Sleeman's.

I miss Bob and Doug. Now they have morphed into cartoons.

Cool. I'll bring some beer and non-alcoholic drinks to share. :P

Sometime in the future, I may go to Canada to
study journalism and see what Canada is like.
Do you know where in Canada I should start?

Oh Ca na DA!

As for America...wait until Saturday.

July 1 and 4 topic

They are close...and apparently some of the border cities have joint celebrations.

I could not find any specific reason why July 1 was chosen, or why the two dates are close. I do know Confederation of the original provinces happened on July 1, 1867. I have a suspicion the original founding fathers would not want Confederation to happen on July 4th.

AAAGH NOT F*****G PETA AGAIN!! ! At least this time they're actually ranting about something real, unlike a swatted fly... but to blame an entire nation is kind of going over the top....
