Why sadly ? What makes me really angry is that Mario Vargas Llosa hasn't won the Literature Prize yet. that is really sad.

This is the man who got elected because he said he would end the wars and bring the troops home?

This is the man who said he would close Guantanamo Bay?

This is the man who said he would end torture and make government actions public?

And they give him the PEACE PRIZE?
Don't make me laugh. It hurts too much!

You must understand the peace prize is first of all a political prize.

Based on what I heard, Obama has improved on foreign relations with other nations including Russia. The nuclear disarmament was mentioned and if I recalled George W. pretty much trash it because he thrown away the proposed START III Treaty for a very weak treaty instead with Russia. W also pissed off Russia with his proposed missile defense system in Eastern Europe. I am glad that missile defense system was scrapped for a better and cooperative system with Russia because Russia would not have sided with us on Iran's second nuclear development site issue. George W. Bush pretty pissed off a lot of nations in his eight years making us look like jerks above everyone else. Sorry but that is a very good way to tick people and nations off with that attitude.

So we're gonna award Obama just to thank him for replacing Bush? bah!

I love how this is happening just a week after losing us the Olympics
Not that I cared about the Olympics being in America anyway

They obviously havent seen this video before making their decision about Obama

Oh, my gracious.

And what should be done for an encore, extraditing W. to the International Criminal Court to face charges of crimes against peace, crimes against war. and so on, and so forth?

I haven't yet formed an opinion regarding Barack Obama being awarded the prize, I just want to ask those who aren't happy with the decision a question. Who do you feel should have received the award based on their actions in 2009? No one particularly stands out for me,..

Historically politically correct recipients have been selected instead of those who really deserve it.

Obama hasn't done anything to "deserve" it. It basically amounts to a political endorsement from Oslo. Nice propaganda win for BHO after getting embarrassed by losing the 2016 Olympics I guess. The hilarious thing about this is that Obama hasn't really distinguished himself any different than Bush. Congrats to President Not-Bush.

As for who should of won, I don't really have an answer for that but I heard Bill Clinton and his humanitarian work used as an example as some who is more deserving.

I thought it was a joke when someone told me earlier. I still think it is a joke to give him the prize.
