Lu Paletta Part I: No Sarah Palin wristband yesterday. Got a bookplate w/fake signature; was told it was as good as a band. Part of overflows that was next in line; group had real camaraderie in cold/rain for >15 hours. Folks from all over with 1 goal, see someone who speaks for us. The bus arrived, a crowd of 500 outside, 1000s inside. A roaring welcome, Gov Palin & Trig, a few remarks, few pictures and on to Barnes&Nobles;.

Lu Paletta Part II: 30 mins after being let in, told leave or be escorted out. Showed bookplates; told they had no value. B&N blamed cutoff on Palins who had to go to Ft Wayne. It is 3 hours away, a next day signing; she couldn’t stay for fans who waited in rain/cold all day? B&N ticked me off; returned all books. Governor: You have the people’s ear; you are scaring Washington. But, please acknowledge people that wait for hours to see you. We are reaching out to you and need you to reach back.

TOO BAD I was “Palienated” today in Noblesville. I waited SEVEN hours and never got my book signed. Only 600 of the 1000 promised wrist bands got in the door. Such a HUGE disappointment!

Sarah,
You angered and disappointed over 300 families in Noblesville tonight. I attended Mike Huckabee’s book signing yesterday. He had pre-signed book in case he would be unable to sign all the books for people who qualified. His books would be exchange one for one with any one whose book he could not sign

First, you should work to make this right. Second, you need to make sure that it never happens again!

I just spent 9 hours of my day, $40 of my hard earned money on two of your books, and took the whole day off work to watch you jump on a bus and throw a half-heated wave to the crowd you were avoiding.

I have never felt so disrespected. How can you claim that you are different? You aren’t. You are just as selfish as everyone else in Washington. It breaks my heart. I thought you might be the answer to the turmoil this country is under but you aren’t. You just slapped hundreds of Hoosiers in the face. The hard working type of people that you claim to represent.

You say in your book that you chose to sleep well over eating well. At the end of the day I know that you don’t care that you wasted the whole day of some 20 year old college student who lives on their own. I understand that all that matters is that I spent my money on two of your books. I’m sure your eating well. You certainly have no reason to be sleeping well.

Went to the book signing in Noblesville, IN. Waited three hours in the cold to get a wristband to reserve my spot at the book signing tonight. We were told she would sign book for the first 1000 people. Not so. The event ended promptly at 9:00pm, though there were still at least 150 people left. Wasted my day, wasted money on a babysitter, and wasted my money on this book.

My family (wife, 3year old, and 10 year old) and I waited for 6 hours to get a book signed by Sarah Palin tonight. She left 300 folks standing in the rain and cold without explanation or even an address at exit. That is 1800 hours of voters lives sacrificed for nothing due to lack of concern by another politician for… our time, money and effort to see a cause through. She could have invested 45 minutes and not received the boos, or sign my book chants. I know that the majority of the folks that were chanting go Palin now are returning her books tomorrow morning. What a disappointment. It is time that politicians follow through on the detail and not just be concerned with their own time. The country requires hard working Americans (that vote) to change the political landscape. I thought Sarah turning Rogue was a good thing. Following your steps to a road to success being on the cutting edge. I guess it is just in the name of her book not the fabric of her handlers.

Tina Houser:
Hello Sarah and Palin family,
I hope there is a chance you read this. I want to let you know I a huge supporter and have spent hours to campaign on your behalf. I want to come across in a nice and sensible tone. I just returned from your booksigning Noblesville IN very disappointed. I am not sure if you are aware but there was time management/communication breakdown with either Borders or your PR team. I along with about 300-350 people out of 1000 who had wristbands were left out in the cold without a signed book or a chance to meet you. They stopped at the letter N and that was my group, oddly enough. You can imagine the huge disappointment. I had been in line for hours and we were given a mass produced signiture sticker. There were some people who stood outside angry wanting to return your book. I already bought the book, all I wanted was to meet the woman and the family I have strongly supported over the last year. I arrived at Borders at 3:15pm and left at 11:15pm. 9pm being told to leave as your bus drove off with no explination or appology. I would try another city but I don’t have money for travel. I went to a local resteraunt to get food because I was so excited to meet you and your family that I skipped dinner to stand in line. As I was sitting there I recognized a fellow supporter from the massive line of people. He felt so bad about what happened that he gave me one of your signed books. This was a sweet gesture. My friends and hundreds of supporters were not as fortunate. I understand the rules state there is a chance the book would not be signed due to time but every effort must be made. However, the whole point of the day was a chance to meet you. It would have taken only 5-10 seconds. So, I am writing you this to let you know so the same mistake does not happen again to all the other supporters on the tour. I suggest you need limit to one book per wristband and stay until everyone with a wristband gets to be a part of the booksigning. I think the media will have field day with this grave error. In summary, there needs to be a more efficient way to get though all the people. In this case, if was that the store had to close at 9pm sharp, why did they not have longer hours? I would have volunteered to work for nothing if that meant that myself and all the hundreds of people who took time off work and stood in line for hours for the booksigning. To the people of Ohio, watch the time and let people know if time is running out. I hope you all view this as having supporters in mind. Sarah, I will continue to support you as always because I believe in your cause but I just wanted to share the information. Tomorrow will be a new day, be safe on the rest of the tour.

Take care,
Tina

I spent majority of my day at Border’s in Noblesville, Indiana waiting to get my book signed. After 8 hours in the cold and rain with my wife and 10 month old baby, I was shocked to watch Sarah get on a bus and leave without signing books for at least 400 people. Instead, we were given a sticker that had her signature printed on it! You lost quite a few supporters tonight! I know many planned to return their books, but the real disappointment was the realization that someone you supported and believed in didn’t follow through on the commitment they made.

The culture of celebrity worship is a fascinating sociological subject.

"Thought she might be different"? That psychotic b_____?

We're talking about the woman who said that advance directives and living wills are the same as "death panels," because apparently it's unhuman to respect a dying person's wishes.

I can't wait for Palin Huckabee 12 ticket. Just imagine if she won though... A woman that self absorbed becoming president... It'd be like a winner of big brother or pop stars being given control of the worlds most powerful country. 8O

I'm going to try to be a little kinder, but I don't like Sarah Palin at all.
