I just found out 10 min ago.

Not watching TV and movies I haven't a clue who she is, so looked these up.

Damn that's way too young to be having heart attacks.

People don't have heart attacks that young unless there's something very wrong with their hearts of they were doing really bad things to them.

That said, cardiac arrest != heart attack. All cardiac arrest means is that the heart stopped.

Stress actually depletes Magnesium which the body stores because it can't live without it and if it gets depleted enough will result in heart failure, if it isn't related to an underlying genetic component. An eating disorder such as anorexia will also be a major contributing factor with such a depletion in Magnesium.

oh god what a shock, i really liked her! I'll rent out Cherry Falls again in memoriam. She was great in that.

Long term cocaine usage will also cause a person to have heart problems, as well as cause cardiac arrest if used in sufficient quantity. I suspect that it may have been this in conjunction with the above mentioned.

I started two memorial threads for her on other forums. I'm not a big fan of Brittany Murphy (apart from 8 Mile and Girl, Interrupted), but it always hits me when people in my age group die like this.

Or genetics, or disease, or a blood clot. There's lots of reasons why a heart can give out, even at such a young age, and until the coroner releases the cause, it's probably not kind to speculate the worst.

There was nothing unkind about my post. And while you say that, you just made your own speculation.

Long term cocaine usage in addition to anorexia is a kind thing now? And I didn't speculate, because I don't know what caused her death; I'm saying there are many, many ways someone can die from cardiac arrest without involving anorexia and/or cocaine; maybe it's the latter, but maybe it's not.

I didn't say anything about drug abuse. On behalf of what I said, there was no judgment or intent to be unkind. The industry she works in obviously causes stress and based on her photos it's safe to question whether or not she may have had an eating disorder such as anorexia. And I said what I did based on my own personal experience with eating disorders and anorexia in particular. It's very dangerous and people should really know what a deadly disease it is. I didn't state in any way that this was in fact the cause, however. I think you're the one who is being rather unkind here, or judgmental.

I'm sorry if my posting got misconstrued as being 'bad', however the simple fact of the matter is that:

A.) She was young, rich artist
B.) She was in Hollywood

As jaded as it may sound, Hollywood is known for it's scandals and drug abuse,(Cocaine, mostly) especially amonst young and relatively young artists, (Actors, musicians) who happen to be rich. I didn't particularly mean for this to be construed as denigration of her character, so much as to speculate cocaine could have probably contributed to her death.

I was just watching the news and it mentioned that she had Type 2 Diabetes as well. But it's rare that someone so young can have a heart attack. What is strange though is that her husband doesn't want an autospy. Does he have something to hide? I only saw her in Don't Say A Word. It is sad to see someone so young though just tragically.

So sad, similar to what happened to Karen Carpenter .
