who would rather watch anything other than sports?

other than politics, there is nothing i find as uninteresting as sports, including the olympics. i would rather watch jeopardy, or if i lack any other choices, then just watch paint drying on a wall.

Well, I wouldn't watch anything rather than sports, but sports isn't very high on my list of favorites. I mainly care if the U.S. wins, and not much for the actual game as timed sports (e.g. bobsled, ice-skating) are awful to watch. Generally, if the commentator needs to start talking about the sporter's childhood while they're doing their sport rather than talk about what they're doing, it's a boring sport to watch.

It was an aquired taste for me too.

It helps to survive in society to take some interest in TV sports to help out in on the job small talk etc.

The last superbowl was actually pretty good entertainment-lots of dramatic reversals.

So- it was like watching grass grow- rather than drying paint!
And I watched just enough of it to be able to say "it was a good game".
It took me years to get that good at sports small talk!

you are advanced [smart] compared to me- even if i could pretend to get something out of it, i really failed to comprehend what was even going-on out on the field or court or whatever, just people moving about with alacrity, to and fro. i might as well be a cat watching it, for what i could understand. so i am a hermit where nobody cares if i like sports or not.

Being bullied by jocks all through school didn't do anything to increase my enjoyment of sports activities, but I was disinterested in televised sporting events long before that. My dad watched football a lot, but I'd go to my room and find something else to do. I do think its cool though how they now project the play-status markers onto the football field, so it looks like they're painted on the grass, with the players actually walking over them. Can holographic porn be far behind?

Don't watch sports, but it would still be preferable to the shopping or religious channels!

You know whats funny is that sports and politics are my two favorite things to follow.

I can get some entertainment out of sports if I work at it, but they're not at the top of my must see list. When I watch them, I tend to focus on particular details, like the tactics and strategy of American football involving the clock, or pitching duels in baseball vs watching the game as a whole for entertainment.

well sir, god made all sorts of types to populate his little science experiment called earth. i believe he made lots more of your type than of mine, however. i am hoping you have some insight you could share, as to why this is so - iow, do you think there is something metaphysical or holy about sports and politics? some grand meaning even the sports and politics-dislikers are supposed to "get"?

only hockey snowboarding and curling for me, everything else is boring

Nothing interests me in the winter games. The summer games have some equestrian events which I like. But that's because horses are so beautiful and graceful, not really interested in the primates they have on their backs.

but someone had to design the pyramid, someone had to organize the brawn and that takes brains.

I love sports! My favorite is football, and I also like baseball and hockey. My favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers, the San Francisco Giants, and the San Jose Sharks. In football, I can name almost all of the Super Bowl winning teams.

I don't find team sports interesting at all, but I can be drawn into enjoying non-team sports.
