I don't recall whether it was ever spelled out in any detail in the films and I haven't bothered following all the novels and other merchandising, but...in order to become a Jedi
KNIGHT (as he called himself) - don't you have to undergo a rather lengthy apprenticeship under someone
already initiated as a Jedi? And since the Jedi are not native to our planet and we have yet to receive any (announced) visitors from elsewhere, how exactly is it possible to become a Jedi Knight without first becoming fictional? Maybe there's a caveat in the rulebook that I'm not aware of. Of course, a Jedi is supposed to carry his own light saber - how can you be a knight without a weapon? And if you can't acquire a lightsaber (a
real one, not a Pez dispenser)...then you're not a knight, much less a Jedi.
This is just too vague. What are the
rules, what are the rituals, the dogma, the creedo (okay, he's dead - and
Han fired
first) where is the scripture? You can't call it a
religion just because you have a fan club membership card and a Star Wars logo hoodie...
I'll bet those Sith guys have a bible...

Jedi's are of the future, in a galaxy far, far away. Maybe this bum is a precursor.
