If he'd had no concept of "devil" or "devil possession" this might not have happened. I'm very reluctant to blame the drugs for this, but instead blame the person because people need to take responsibility for the things they enjoy and for their actions. Blaming the drugs is a copout.

You shouldn't be allowed to blame the drugs for influencing their actions. After all, they took the drugs using their own free will.
