Would you have a specific way your would want your donation to be spent or would people vote on that, too? Just curious since WP is not a nonprofit organization, like AWN and ASAN, the other two voting options.

That is not the question here. The site says donations are not sought, then this thread shows up saying "Wrongplanet May Get Lots of Money" if people nevertheless *do* donate ... and WP does not even need the money. Overall intentions might be just fine here, but this thread still smells like solicitation.

No... theres advertising on the site that generates a hell of a lot more revenue then any donation I ever received. People can donate to the site if they like what they read or not. The reason I'm giving money back to the community starting this month is because the website is starting to pay for itself finally and I feel like its time to start giving back.
