What can I say? Totally gobsmacked. This poor man with Down's syndrome, autism, blind and unable to speak has been in care with his arms bound behind his back for 25 years. I'm absolutely speachless.

That is just disgusting. I hope EVERYONE who took part in this is forced to retire immediately without pension and barred from EVER having employment in any medical field. EVER. This includes nurses, interns, freaking cleaning people, EVERYONE. Someone should have said something! And how in the heck did they keep it secret for 25 years? There was never an inspection? Or they were 'warned' against an inspection? Cause it doesn't do much good to know you're about to be checked. Everyone's room is clean when company's coming, come on.

Tying your elbows together with a SOCK has NEVER been the correct way to restrain anyone. In fact its a monstrously stupid way to go about it.

Ever wonder how many people who work in mental health are more dangerous than their patients?

Alot. And alot of ignorant idiots too.

A story i heard earlier was that a guy with Autism were placed at such a home they describe with criminals and drug addicts. A reason why could be the cheap ass municipalities that don't want to fork out the cash for a real assisted living house and just shove people in wherever they can put them. That story was also from a little piece of s**t town in the middle of southern Sweden.

They took me in a police car in handcuffs behind my back to the Napa State Hospital and put me on an adult, women's ward for three days when I was fourteen where I witnessed things just like this, and worse. It was their way of punishing me because I had scratch my wrist and showed it to them as the only way I knew of at that time to ask for help. After three days the doctor said, "Well missy, do you think you've learned your lesson?" to which I said "Yes Sir" very clearly in answer and they gave me my street clothes back and allowed me to return to the Children's Shelter. That ultimately messed up all hope for me of ever getting any help or assistance from the mental health system after they traumatized me so badly with it that way.

The system is very cruel, and those kinds of things happen every day.

That shows how much people hate people who have disabilities.

Recipy for disaster:
* 3 ounce of "corruption" and "shouldertapping"
* 2 tablespoons of "overseers not doing their f*****g jobs!"
* 1.5 quarts of "not questioning smiling people"
* 7 ounces of "i want to keep my job" or "it already has gone too far"

= The problem is normal weakminded sheep-ish people. They don't dare to question things that are wrong.

You missed out an extra large helping of a society where the social norm is to avoid confrontation at all costs.

This is almost enough for me for me to recant that emotions are useless, and add that the only good emotions are ones of anger, hatred, and rage.

This is disgusting, and shows that there are sheeple who won't speak out because they don't want to lose their jobs. This is one of the times when I really hate humanity.
