Johnny Sheffield, who played Boy in the John Weismuller era, died Oct. 15 at age 79.

Sheffield started playing Boy when he was 7. He played Boy (far too long) until he was 16 or 17. In the Tarzan movie cannon Boy was the adopted son of Tarzan because Jane and Tarzan were never married, and the Hayes office would not have any out of wed-lock parenting on screen.

R.I.P., Boy.
