MRI scan detects autism accurately

Hi folks. I just checked MSNBC news web site and this was on the front page:

Brain scan 'best thing so far' for detecting autism

There are several interesting tidbits in this article. I haven't yet searched for the actual scientific or medical reports they are talking about though. One is that it is supposedly very accurate for diagnostic purposes. Another is that in autistic brains the water flows in an organized fashion on the side of the brain where neurotypical people's brains have disorganized flow, and disorganized in autistic brains on the side where neurotypical brains have organized flow. I hadn't heard of that before. Any thoughts?

Had no idea, but it rather makes sense. What doesn't is that water is more organized on the right side for autistics. What does that mean?

Makes me think of how water drains counter clockwise on the other hemisphere... maybe we're Australian...
