Update from today:

The Swedish police's lead interrogator and one of the reporting women are friends since before and have political connection.

EDIT: Ugh, god I hate the minimal amount of characters allowed in the subject for threads on WP; other forums allow so much more. -_-; Had to edit the thread several times before I got it to fit in.

Provided it's not one of the judge's I'm not ready to see this as an egregious issue.

The police are at least two degrees removed from a decision in the case, since it is up to a prosecutor to present the case, and it is up to a judge to take a decision.

If this gives Assange another approach with which to challenge the prosectution case, then by all means, let him take it.

Well it possibly could be a conflict of interest on the interrogator's part.

Could they just get a different interrogator?
