Feds ordering Law Enforcement not to arrest Illegals

Last I checked, entering our country illegally was a crime, I don't care if you are Mexican, Irish, British, Chinese, or Canadian.

An Arizona sheriff says U.S. Border Patrol officials have repeatedly told him they have been ordered to reduce -- at times even stop -- arrests of illegal immigrants caught trying to cross the U.S. border.

Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever told FoxNews.com that a supervisor with the U.S. Border Patrol told him as recently as this month that the federal agency’s office on Arizona's southern border was under orders to keep apprehension numbers down during specific reporting time periods.

“The senior supervisor agent is telling me about how their mission is now to scare people back,” Dever said in an interview with FoxNews.com. “He said, ‘I had to go back to my guys and tell them not to catch anybody, that their job is to chase people away. … They were not to catch anyone, arrest anyone. Their job was to set up posture, to intimidate people, to get them to go back.”

Dever said his recent conversation with the Border Patrol supervisor was the latest in a series of communications on the subject that he has had with various federal agents over the last two years. Dever said he plans to relay the substance of these conversations when he testifies under oath next month before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

“I will raise my hand to tell the truth and swear to God, and nothing is more serious or important than that,” he said. “I’m going to tell them that, here’s what I hear and see every day: I had conversation with agent A, B, C, D and this is what they told me.”

well, I don't recall asking the Pequot people, and as I understand it our colonization was a mess for the original inhabitants.

Legality does not equal morality. I prefer morals, but it looks like not everyone agrees with that. To each his own I guess...

If we don't enforce our borders we don't have a country, and sorry but unlike the radical leftists that want a new world order, I want my country to continue to exist.

Illegal entry does more than just take jobs that no one else wansts.
Other problems/potential problems are but not limited to:
1. Criminals entering the US.
2. Drug trafficking.
3. Terrorists or spies using that as an entry point since no one cares.
4. Spread of disease.
5. Resources and money tied up policing and handling the above activities.

So when are you leaving the US?

That is one thing that concerns me about the southern US border. I am for keeping it secure, my country (Canada) is also put at risk by people taking advantage of the relative ease of getting in (not that my concern about this only stems from the risk to Canada, I am more concerned about Americans who would be more likely targets; but Al-Qaeda does refer to us Canadians as 'little devils' if I am not mistaken, and it is quite easy to get into Canada from the US or vice versa. Anyways). I recall hearing a few weeks ago that a Koran, some books on homemade explosives and some other miscellanea were discovered somewhere near the Mexican border of Texas or Arizona. That is pretty ominous to me
