I really wanted to show the first part of Saving Private Ryan,, but I think body parts being blown off might be too violent for the forum. So this is second place. The song is OK I think.

A salute to all the men who stormed the beach. I am sure you will never be forgotten.

I appreciate the hard work that those men and women did, fighting for our freedom.

Many Americans died because the French and the Brits (prior to Churchill) were such wimps.

Once again, the U.S. save the arses of the Europeans.

Why is it that during times of relative peace and plenty, our "allies" always seem to find something about us to make them feel superior, but when they are attacked or oppressed, it's always the Yanks they ask first to come to their aid?

I say withdraw all foreign aid, close our borders, and let no one in until they've fought for the U.S. of A.

Back to the topic ... 18 + 67 = 85.

If a person was 18 years old on D-Day, he or she would be 85 years old by now. WWII veterans, if alive, are in their 80s. The "World's Greatest Generation" is fading fast. By 2035, they all should be dead, and their very relevancy will be lost forever.
