Crude Oil Chemical Linked to Heart Defect in Babies

I wanted to share this because it seems other news and media outlets are not covering it. Alongside the dangerously inflating and deflating gas prices, it gives another reason to look for alternatives to crude oil.

It also effects me personally since my little cousin is inflicted with the heart detect they were studying. It is very common, and it is concerning that the crude oil chemical can be found in more than 82% of babies with the defect.

Please spread this and share your thoughts. I think people really need to know. (And with summer coming up I encourage pregnant woman not to go swimming in the ocean due to the oil spill last year. You know, just to be safe).

They need to do studies on each of the 17 chemicals and even then, correlation does not automatically equal causation. Even if a link is found, there's nothing we can do about it because we need the oil so desperately.
