This world is a mess...
How could an organization that is considered to be terrorists by Isarel, US, EU, etc... be considered a group that fights extremism?
Dear author of this article, good luck in trying to convince Israel that we should help its neighbour enemy.

What irks me is that outside observers who are sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinians look to the gong show that is Gaza without turning their attention to the West Bank.
Fatah is running an administration that is daily developing better and better capacity to govern. New investment money is coming in; capital development projects are underway; a professional public service is in creation.
If you want to support the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people, then why not entrust Fatah?
But, of course, Gaza is what makes the headlines, and folk like George Galloway seem much more interested in headlines than they are in actually doing any good on the ground.

That is because the Hamas Rocketeers operate out of Gaza. The Palestinian in the West Bank have learned to stop trying to attack Israel physically. That will give them a chance to survive and perhaps, even prosper.
The Palestinians are not stupid, but they are very badly governed and led.
