Yeh but the intersting question is , " why do people part with cash and buy into this disorted world view?"

Sunday, in my newsagents, people were walking out with armfuls of News Of The World. I asked one guy if he thought they would be investments. He said "yes" he'd already bought polythene wraps and was going to put them away for about ten years.

Murdoch who owns a great number of media from newspapers to fox news and some in Britian and some in Asia. Well he is a creepy bad guy probably bent on world control of media. Anyway he got busted by the Brits for spying and stalking folks to illegally gain information for his news of the world tabliod. Well he has hacked the British PM's stuff as well as victims of 9/11 and who knows who else. Well basicly what it amounts to is that the bigger you are, the harder you fall. This is this case with Murdoch. The world is alittle safer now that his media empire is starting to crumble.

I've definitely sensed a feeling of renewed hope in the air recently - a hope that good will overcome evil.Such is the inhuman nature of
the way News International have operated that people have had enough.

Murdoch is still the biggest owner (and controller) of news media organizations in the world. In what sense is he collapsing?

Multinational regulations are slim pickins. In a global economy, these guys are like billy the kid taking advantage of country juristictions to wreak havok. I think since we are a global society, we need to make rules for multinationals just like every other buisness has reulations to keep the public safe. However, I know how unpopular this view would be to conservatives globally, but it would be a safer world.

Too bad for you, his media outlets are still the most trustworthy out there. I get the feeling this is one or two disreputable employees and the left is turning this into a partisan witchhunt to try to silence the only Conservative Media source on Television in the US (Fox News) and the only critical voices in the UK.

If you don't like Fox News, change the channel; you have no business trying to force people not to watch Fox News or for them to consider Fox News to be more trustworthy than what I consider to be the trash outlets you get your news from.

Rupert Murdock has not "fallen", only one of his newspapers has. The man is still a billionaire several times over, and he's still alive.

Why not? Without those who take wealth seriously, there would be no investment in such things as medicine, business/jobs, technology, and so forth. Without wealthy people, there would have been no "New World", no Renaissance, no Industrial Revolution, no Space Age, and no Information Age. It is likely that we would be living in a world dominated by Asian and European aristocracy, disease, religion, and ignorance ... if we were alive at all.
