You all remember Operation Fast and Furious, well the ATF promoted 3 supervisors responsible for this mess.

Reporting from Washington— The ATF has promoted three key supervisors of a controversial sting operation that allowed firearms to be illegally trafficked across the U.S. border into Mexico.
All three have been heavily criticized for pushing the program forward even as it became apparent that it was out of control. At least 2,000 guns were lost and many turned up at crime scenes in Mexico and two at the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Arizona.
The three supervisors have been given new management positions at the agency's headquarters in Washington. They are William G. McMahon, who was the ATF's deputy director of operations in the West, where the illegal trafficking program was focused, and William D. Newell and David Voth, both field supervisors who oversaw the program out of the agency's Phoenix office.

Looks like my suspicions were right, this was deliberate.
Well one senator has already blasted the DoJ over this.
“Until Attorney General (Eric) Holder and Justice Department officials come clean on all alleged gun-walking operations, including a detailed response to allegations of a Texas-based scheme, it is inconceivable to reward those who spearheaded this disastrous operation with cushy desks in Washington,” said Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

What gets me is that they are allowed to exist as an agency after all they've done.
They are one of the reasons I'm against big government.
Normally I would be thrilled to see the ATF get the axe. Unfortunately though, if the ATF gets dissolved anytime soon, the FBI will likely take over and they would take dirty and sneaky regulation and enforcement tactics for gun laws to a science.

Any wonder why there is a deficit?
Govt. has a history of promoting failure.
The ATF is storming grandmas house and shooting her over her grandson's drug associations, storming the wrong houses, and now running a sting that tracks illegally sold firearms to Mexico in an effort to support anti-gun zealot legislation. Looks like manufacturing is back strong in the U.S., it's just at the ATF and the DOJ...DOiJ (Department of InJustice).

Their plan B is probably to decide who gets to be who's cellmate, play rock paper scissors for who gets the top bunk, work on a strategy to always have one of them stand watch in the shower, and how they are going to come up with enough cigarettes to pay the aryan brotherhood "rent" in leiu of being their b***h.

More likely, they are planning on helping the Obama Administration pull every dirty trick in the book to keep him in power.

I wonder what any one of us would have gotten if we'd been caught smuggling firearms.
We'd be locked away in a federal pen until we're old men.
Same should apply here.

In the US, the straw purchasing would get you a full 10 years in the federal pen. If you got busted in Mexico, you better have the cartel watching your back by having a prosecutor or judge on their payroll, or at least take care of you while you are in prison or you are f^cked! Like the Mafia, the cartels commonly use the carrot and stick approach to people that keep their mouth shut: they commonly pay you off when you get out or kill you if you talk.
Holder and Possibly Obama should go down for involuntary manslaughter and racketeering, and the ATF officials should go down for accessory to racketeering and accessory to manslaughter after the fact. Treason charges for trying to subvert the 2nd amendment and undermining our national security to benefit foreign countries would be appropriate too.

Well they've also decided now, not to enforce our immigration laws.
